SCOTUS Shot Down The Religious Assault On Constitutional Civil Rights

This was a purely literal support of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, based on the literal nature of upholding such a core element of the constitution, this should have been a 9/9 decision. Any other position would be so contradictory to the constitution as to be incoherent. The three that v**ed against this proved they put their ideology ahead of the constitution and law.

This is proof that the conservative right has no regard for the constitution, they put party bias and their religious beliefs ahead of the constitution every time and always will. In this country the constitution and every individual's personal freedoms simply mean more than any other person's religious beliefs when those beliefs infringe on someone else's freedoms. This is about firing someone because you don't like their sexual preferences...which is pretty damn invasive to someone's pursuit of freedom and happiness to enjoy a job to say the least.

This is super easy to flip to another scenario and people who would be hurt by this. Let's say gay people, being s**k of being persecuted by religious bigots, being fired for being gay, copped the same attitude toward christians they work with. Your gay supervisor, having an attitude toward christians fires you because you are christian, no other reason than that, he simply h**es christians. I'm pretty sure you would have a bullet proof civil rights case against the employer for allowing this to happen.

There is no justification for being able to fire someone simply because they are gay anymore than you would be able to fire them because they are christian, or Muslim, or any other religion.

This was a purely literal support of Title VII of ... (show quote)

Why would one even have to know a person's religion or preference?
