They’re attacking George Washington because he owned s***es. So she said he wasn’t taking care of me. Washington, Jefferson, Lee, the statues all must come down. 13% of our population is desiring to destroy our history which they have barely contributed to. No more pussyfooting around.

Just think of all the State and National Parks that serve the public with Civil War Sites, Museums, and Visitor Sites where millions of people visit every year. I went to the Gettysburg Site in Pennsylvania as a young man and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Even the antiques are a site to behold. If you get the chance to visit, do it now before it's too late.

Remember when the Taliban first took over Afghanistan. The Taliban went to this mountain where ancient people, probably over a thousand years ago, hand carved two giant representations of Budda into the side of the mountain. I believe they were about 100 feet high. The Taliban are Muslims and didn't believe in honoring images. So they blasted them into rubble. Condemned world wide. Now we are doing the equivalent here. History cannot be destroyed. As long as someone remembers, or holds documents ( not a book of someone's "perception" of history ) pertaining to history, history remains unchanged. The USA was a s***e owning/trading Nation well into the 19th century, that's a fact and cannot be undone. Trying to erase that history is not only impossible, it's dangerous and could lead to far reaching unintended consequences.

Germany still teaches it's children about Hitler and the evils he inspired, not to glorify any of it, but to ensure that future generations do NOT glorify that period in history, in the hopes that it's not repeated. To this day, there are people trying to rewrite that history, trying to revive the Reich, just as there are those here trying to revive the Confederate State.

We must remember all of our blemishes, acknowledging our mistakes and bad deeds. Not to apologize endlessly for them, or trying to justify them, but to ensure that WE don't repeat any of them.

History cannot be erased.............................but it can be repeated.

My husband who’s from New Jersey and I went to the Vicksburg Civil War Cemetery and found only union graves. My husband was appalled. The only southerners buried there were a contingent of b****s from Louisiana who fought for the North.
And they want more equal treatment? The lazy ones just want more money.
