Tug484,

I hope your son recovered completely. Many of our DUI’s in Mexifornia were illegal and would head south before their trials. Very frustrating as a LE and heartbreaking for the victims and their families.
May God Bless you and yours.

Thank you. He was Mexican and they had his name spelled wrong when they put it in the computer.
They didn't get his record until the next day.
He had just gotten out of jail for a DUI.
I was mad at myself for not putting full coverage on his T***s Am. He had worked for two years for that car.
He'd only had it for a week.
When I insured it, I was thinking everybody has to have insurance.
Boy was I wrong.
His life has been great for a long time, but C****-** got his job.
He's applying with no luck yet.
I'm happy him and his friend survivedi. It was a Friday night and they didn't have to work that night, so they had gone to eat and rent a movie.
They were within a few miles of our homes.
They worst part was, it was labor day and there was a big deal party for drinkers and designated drivers.
Nothing to do with those boys, but some TV station put a picture of his wrecked car on the news with the line, don't drink and drive. This could happen to you.

Tug484,

Wow, your story is to familiar. The big problem with identifying Hispanics legal or illegal is getting their correct name. If they don’t lie they give their first name, middle name, Mother’s surname and fathers last name. It would vary with males as to whether first born, second born and down the line. I encountered an individual 3 separate times and got a different variation of his name each time. That was the most frustrating part of the job knowing pretty much what the outcome would be for the victims. Our system is so screwed up. I’m glad your son survived, he is still alive and can replace the car, fortunate in that manner. Sounds like a very responsible young man. Yep, the media will jump on everything for a story whether the info is right or wrong.
This c***d19 is slowing us down but, won’t get us down. Someday he will look back on this bump in the road of life and say I made it.
I’m not a Bible thumper but God works in strange ways, there’s probably something better coming his way.

The same thing happened to my son! Thank God he didn’t die but was taken to the hospital unconscious! An i*****l a***n 23 years old ran a red light and hit my son! He left his girlfriend in his new truck with her six kids and ran! He had 3 previous duis a spousal abuse charge and resisting arrest! Never found him cause his girlfriend lied! Oh and he was fired from his landscaping job that day got druxk and had a 5 gallon can of gasoline in the truck! My son was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but he was fine, thank you again Lord! The car, an older Lexus was totaled and I only had pl and pd on it! The creep that sold the illegal with no license brand new truck had full coverage on only the truck!! These people that sell those people cars and insurance should be held liable!!! As you know illegal dude with 3 or 4 names never got caught! The police were wonderful and said they were making it a mission to find him! They did an outstanding job but these people have their relatives hiding them!

Thank you.
I'm very proud of both my sons.
They're very responsible people.
I know what you mean about their name game.
