Minneapolis cops have been dirty for years. Still in disbelief that a cop can kneel on a guys neck, and 3 others will stand there and watch. The other 3 still need to be arrested as accessories

It is strong evidence that Amy is part of the problem, not the solution.

I'm pretty sure they will be. Everything I've read the last couple of hours hints that more arrests are forthcoming.

True, and the complaint has been submitted....but, I do not think any of the charges will stick.

You're probably right about that. Third degree murder and manslaughter is "without intent to effect death". If he even gets any jail time at all, I'll be surprised. He didn't "intend" to k**l Mr. Floyd, but he also didn't know what he was doing. Even I know that putting pressure on the neck can have serious effects. The police stopped using choke-holds a long time ago, and this was essentially a choke-hold. The cop should not "get off" because he was stupid...he should pay the ultimate price for his stupidity....Mr. Floyd paid a huge price for the cop's stupidity.

You're probably right about that. Third degree mur... (show quote)

The ME said there is no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation. That means, the knee on his neck was not the cause of his death.

My opinion, for what it is worth. The state stopped using the hold, but the city continued to teach the hold and allowed it to be used....their current police handbook outlines when to employ its use....and there are no words of caution. I think it should remain as an option...it is most often used by female officers who may be significantly shorter, lighter, and less muscular than their opponent. Taking this tool away leaves only two options....tazze or shoot. Using a tazze on someone strung out on drugs or a determined suicide….only makes them mad and far more dangerous. Shooting a minority....r**ts!!! Or, the alternative...let the criminals have the run of our nation. We must keep in mind why we hire cops...so we can live a better life without constant fear of molestation. We can not tell our officers or military to keep us safe and not provide them with the leeway and tools to do their jobs.

I do not think the officer had any bad intentions. I truly believe he thought he was doing the right and non lethal thing. I bet he thought he was keeping the suspect out of harms way, bystanders and his team safe. Further, you seem to think Floyd was a "good guy." He was passing counterfeit money. This is not a victimless crime. Tax payers are the victim, store owners are the victim, banks, our economy.....there is a reason that counterfeiting is a felony. Armed robbery, and home invasion....are not things a "good guy" would do. The officer is not the criminal, those r**ting, burning down cities, beating women in wheelchairs, stealing, l**ting and Floyd are the criminals....and frankly, better deserve the title of stupid.

Easy now... he may very well have intended to k**l him. They worked at the same nightclub. Let's see in the coming days what their relationship was (if they had one at all). The only reason they sought 3rd degree murder charge is because it's a slam dunk. 2nd degree could've gone either way. Penn talks a good game and will try to convince us all that she is a medical expert, an expert on police procedure, an expert on law and smarter than every person on OPP when she is none of the above. She is a r****t who said G****e F***d probably died because he ate too much Kentucky Fried Chicken. Look at her posts. from yesterday.
