Crumbs

Most people on this forum & in life are much better people than they let them self's be.

So much of our time & effort is used up in making ends meet in our day to day lives that we have little time & effort left to spend on doing things that would make our life's better.

Many have sold their souls for the almighty dollar.

Many believing that they are a part of the system but are coming to realize that all they are getting is crumbs.

This seems to make them mad as they see others getting crumbs for not doing any thing.

Crumbs that they feel should be theirs. Which could be true.

The thing is enough crumbs don't seem to be falling to keep the masses happy.

But many feel that it isn't the job of the few to make the masses happy.

Just make me happy & all will be well. I will keep my crumbs.
Whats mine is mine.

Go & fight over some one else's crumbs.

This is part of the system of keeping the people divided.

When I came from high school in 1960, I have little sk**ls but, a desire to work hard. I had a good mind and motivation, a non working wife and one child. Minimum wage was $1. $1.25 an hour was all I made for about 5 years. I started testing for fireman and police officer jobs. The 2nd city tested, hired me. I had 4 kids at that time. I went to Jr college and got my degree in business and continued to law school for a couple of years before starting a real estate brokerage business. I never had a financial problem ever again. Sounds easy right? Wrong, I worked long hours, listing, promoting, selling, renovating houses that no one wanted to buy. During this time I got a license to sell insurance and a contractor's license and I got a teaching certificate to teach real estate @ Jr. college. I also, had an escrow and property management division.

Am, I bragging. you may ask? No! I went default in 1995. I have a story to tell. That's all. I think that I have set an example of a poor Ozark Mountain boy who had desire. I took advantage of opportunities that my forefathers gave me. Thank you ladies and gentlemen for presenting me with opportunities. If I can do it anybody can. They just gotta want to. I wasn't satisfied with a minimum wage; so OI moved to California in 1963. And there I found what I was looking for. And the narrative goes on but not now

Being in CA at the present time doesn't provide the opportunities one could expect to find in the 60's. The only opportunities now available are welfare, government employment, or becoming a politician. The work required for those three are either minimal, or non-existent.

I am through with my time here. Every e******n we are asked to v**e for more taxes at every level. I bought property in another state and it will cost a $100,000 less to build a house. Over taxed and over regulated. The EPA

As I am in the winter of my life, I shall spend the rest of my days here since my children and grandchildren are also here. I have little to be concerned about for myself, but I am very disturbed about my children and grandchildren's future.

Floyd what are you passionate about children, the elderly, education, environment, world hunger. Pick one just one, find a program or group of people who share your passion and volunteer just 3 hours a week. Invite everyone you know and everyone they know to help.

Together (without the gov) just we the people can make the difference.

You may already be doing these things and if you are join me in promoting caring for others making a difference in other peoples life's.

Me I'm just a simple life long boy scout leader, coach and volunteer Outdoor Emergency Tech.

Time, your time is what is needed.

What say Ye, Mr Brown ?

We seem to be producing a generation that expects opportunity to be handed to them. All their problems have to be solvable by use of a smartphone. If it isn't available on the net, it isn't available. Hard work has become a four letter word.

I think that you & I & a whole lot of others here have much the same to say about hard work & making ends meet.

Put it down to having great middle class values. This should be a rallying point drawing us together.

We don't need hand outs but we deserve fair return on our time & effort & not have to depend on the trickling down or the crumbs from others.

The trickle down stream seems to have been damned up pretty far upstream.

We hear a lot about the trickle down stream, but the great sucking up stream seems to get little mention.

To many want what is mine & then want more.

In this day & age every one is trying to hang on to as much as they can.

I feel that at one time they held on to the dollars & let the change trickle down, but now they hold on to the change also.

What I don't understand is why the people up stream, are

not seeing the benefits of procuring a larger middle class,

and letting more water flow.

The larger the middle class becomes, we ALL benefit.
