St. Louis Post-Dispatch Editorial Exposes Trump’s ‘Colossal’ Lie About Obama
The newspaper’s editorial board just wiped out Trump’s favorite talking point.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly blamed former President Barack Obama for his own administration’s mishandling of the c****av***s p******c.
“The last administration left us nothing,” Trump said last month.
But the St. Louis Post-Dispatch found that Trump’s own budget documents show the opposite ― exposing what it called “a lie of colossal Trumpian proportions.”
The newspaper’s editorial board said the Trump administration told Congress that the Obama administration left it with everything needed for a p******c ― and sought big budget cuts from the programs as a result.
Trump’s 2020 budget asked Congress to cut the p******c preparedness budget by $102.9 million, part of $595.5 million in requested cuts to public health preparedness and response outlay.
“Obama left office with an unblemished record of building up the nation’s p******c preparedness,” the newspaper said. “Trump systematically sought to dismantle it.”
Trump has since blamed his predecessor for lack of personal protective equipment and testing supplies, saying “our cupboards were bare. We had very little in our stockpile.”
But the newspaper said a chart provided by the Trump administration with the budget shows that by 2016 ― Obama’s final year in office ― the nation’s public health emergency preparedness was at least 98% on every key measure.
“That’s by the Trump administration’s own assessment,” the Post-Dispatch said. “If the cupboard was bare, it’s because Trump swept it clean.”
Your article reminds me of a boy named Davy. In his youth, living in the wild, he had a small knife. He had his cupboard full for what he needed.....skin the squirrels and rabbits his father k**led for food.
Then one day his dad perished and little Davy was confronted by a big bear. He grabbed his father's rifle and k**led the bear. If he was only left with the small knife(OhB's cupboard) he would have perished. Luckily, he had quick access to a bigger weapon to k**l the bear.
That is exactly what Trump and all of OhB's experts say today. They did not have the weapons to deal with a major p******c from OhB or any other president. And thanks to Trump's administration, they produced those weapons in very record time. Not a lie.
Just, weak minded people trying to destroy all the good that has been developed in the last 3 + years.

I read basically the same thing this AM but from a different source. It's amazing how often Trump says something when the exact opposite of what he says is the t***h. This alone, should be insulting to the intelligence of every single American, right, left or in the middle. How gullible/dumb does he think we are?

That trump constantly lies only becomes more apparent with each passing day. His failures as president are colossal. While all presidents wish to bend the t***h so a favorable light shines on them, none consistently lie to the degree of this person. He lies and then lies about his lies. I hope this November, he loses the e******n in a landslide. Imagine trying to blame this on Obama. Anything to try & change the subject. He's a con artist, always has been & always will. Btw, thanks for your post. Standby for all the name calling
I really like what Twitter is doing. If Trump has a post that is a lie, they have links to articles that tell the t***h. He has threatened twitter for doing this. During the begining of the C****a v***s crisus, Trump almost managed the t***h. It didn't last long.

Trump's entire career has been based on lies, c***ting, and bank loan defaults--and he's gotten away with it. He can't understand why that doesn't work as president.
Fluff fest....moving along, cannot watch anymore of this liberal orgy unto themselves.
See ya on the flip side......nerds!

You know, it seems that the Librats are pretty good a trashing Trump.....occasionally, they make a coherent-sounding case. BUT, THEY NEVER HAVE A CONSTRUCTIVE OR POSITIVE SUGGESTION to solve any problems.
It’s just “Orange Man Bad”, then...................nothing!

I have a constructive suggestion that would be very positive going forward, except I don't see any way it can be done: Get Trump to stop lying.

I rest my case. How about you stop b!tching and suggest a person, place or thing which would make society better.
For example: if Trump is lying, what are you going to do about it?

Cody, very weak response. Trump is like a little boy, I think I've heard him referred to as toddler trump. I expect greater things from a president than concurrent tweet storms, you should too.

according to trump, it was never there (a lie).

I did suggest a person who could make society better (Trump - by not lying). I already said I don't know what can be done to stop him from lying. Trump himself is the only person who can do anything about that. By the way, kudos on your Super Bowl Championship last season - Mahomes is a baddass.
