God the Father controls nature... which He never named "Mother."

"You are the LORD, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you." (Nehemiah 9:6)

Secular culture consistently selects terminology originating from the imagination of man.

We constantly hear that “Mother Nature” has brought us another hurricane, or “Mother Nature” brought rain today, or “she” was responsible for some other earthly phenomena.

This is heard so often that it is commonly accepted because of the prolific repetition, and no one gives this reference to a mythical non-existent creature a second thought, but they should!

Nature is one of God's beautiful creations. Through nature, God makes His presence and power visible. Through nature, God is able to teach us, speak to us, and provide for us.
He is exalted through nature.

"For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse." (Romans 1:19-20)

Implying that "Mother Nature" is somehow in control of the environment, atmosphere, or even growth, is giving recognition to someone or something without existence, and totally undeserving of credit. There is no "Mother Nature." There exists no proof of any kind, scientific or unscientific, that such a "she" has ever existed or exists now.

The credit for this earth, and all that is within this earth belongs only to God, He it is Who is the Creator of all of it. He is the one that commands the rain to fall, the flowers to bloom, the births, and the deaths within each species, after its own kind, and He is a He!

"But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind."
(Job 12:7-10)

In the Genesis account of creation alone, God is referred to as a male 14 times with the pronoun "He." Throughout the remainder of the book, "He" is also used to describe a male God 15 additional times. The original Hebrew and Greek words for God are masculine.

Nowhere in our traditional, time-honored Bible is God referred to as female. Because the Word of God identifies him only as male, the notion that His domain and creation are controlled by a mystical "Mother" Nature of unknown origin is not from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The modern practice and goal of Political Correctness is to offend no one by mentioning "God." This concept has seized man's tongue and refuses to release it. Even God's own have passively allowed the Atheist ungodly to capture public recognition with their dislike of God, and to thereby influence whatever is to be said.

It is tragic to have digressed to the point that we are more concerned with the possibility of displeasing the godless by affirming the Biblical God in this nation as He describes Himself to be, than we are with displeasing the God of our Salvation, the Creator and preserver of all life in this land that was formerly known and recognized throughout the world to be a "Christian" nation.

Perhaps giving credit to this non-existent entity/idol is now preferable or less embarrassing to the educated elite than is calling the great "I Am" by "His" name. For a nation of people that has historically prided themselves on their intelligence, it is quite childish to give credit to this non-existent "Mother."

Sophisticated, well-educated television weathermen have routinely polluted the airwaves by claiming "Mother Nature has brought us another gorgeous day" and other fictitious quotes.

"Of old you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands." (Psalm 102:25)

Modern man is even changing terminology to reflect his own ideas of who and what God is, or should be. Pagans of the past and Neo-pagans of the present have certainly displayed no qualms in their attempt to recreate Him as anything they wish Him to be.

They have assigned credit and worship to trees, water, mountains, and others parts of the creation as did and do the Animists of Africa since Antiquity. The image of women who represent "mother earth" and "mother nature" have been around for millennia, as the personification and worship of the earth in the form of "Gaia" was incorporated into man's oldest rebellion against the revealed will of the God of Creation. Goddesses were attributed as personifications of procreation (fertility), and "nature" for many millennia.

Female deities being credited for what God has actually done have been historically seen in Assyrian, Babylonian, Greek, Incan, Indian, and Roman civilizations. To this day "Gaia," "Sophia" and other female "deities" are often verbally honored as though they were existing realities; even among confessing Christians.

These influences, from another spiritual source, are not Christian. It is the Christian that should have instilled within his own heart and should influence the thinking of others that there is One Triune God: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3. For a Christian, God is the God of the Bible. The Bible is the window showing us who and what God is.

"Let heaven and earth praise Him, the seas and everything that moves in them."
(Psalm 69:34)

It is from the preserved Word of God that we get the unshakable account of how we have been placed here, how the earth was created, how God communicated throughout time with our ancestors, and how He now desires to love and nurture us.

The rejection by the foolish within our society, of God, and His gospel of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, as is contained only within His Holy Word, should not influence either our faith or our lifestyle.

What the Bible teaches about God and warns about those who choose to "live in rebellion against Him," (the very definition of sin), furnishes us the wisdom to believe God, and to avoid their hedonistic adherence to the godless man-made philosophy of "earth goddess worship," by which they will eternally perish.

Some "modern" and apostate Bibles publishers, have changed God's word to pretend that God is female, or to totally ignore God's Revelation in which He consistently refers to Himself as male. The ploy to question the integrity of God's word has been around since the Garden of Eden, where Lucifer/Satan convinced Adam and Eve, the first man and women, to doubt the integrity and finality of God's commands.

That ruse is still being played today. Many are changing the truth in the Word of God; but they can never destroy or change God's spiritual truth, no matter how hard they attempt to hide or distort it.

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge." (Psalm 19:1-2)

The truth is preserved in the precious Word of God. It clearly reveals that God is the Creator and controller of all that goes on in this universe. Do not allow non-Christian philosophies and influences to slowly erode your beliefs in what the Bible says. It is the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One God, that created this world, and it is "He" that still controls nature; the weather, sunrise and sunset, seed time and harvest, as they take their place and run their course upon His Earth.

"The whole He hath made beautiful in its season; also, that knowledge He hath put in their heart without which man findeth not out the work that God hath done from the beginning even unto the end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

May your speech ever reflect what you believe... that it was God the Father who brought the rain today, and that it was He that later brought out the sunshine.

"Who has ascended into heaven and descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has wrapped the waters in His garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name or His Son’s name?
Surely you know!" (Proverbs 30:4)
