IG's Aren't For A President, They Are Oversight On One For Congress

Trump keep saying a meaningless words "he no longer has confidence" in the ones he is firing.

He has been firing IG's who are looking into things that would be very inconvenient to the president, the fact of the matter is that IG's are supposed to have no interference by presidents, especially when they happen to be looking into violations of ethics or laws.

A president firing an IG should trigger an immediate response to take what that IG may have been doing that the president didn't like very seriously. In fact the president getting rid of an IG for that reason would have likely triggered an impeachment level investigation. This is a broken democracy when the president can get away with firing the people who's job it is to look into p**********l wrongdoing.

IG's are supposed to me completely immune to that.

Dumbell, the IG is appointed by the president of the United States and confirmed by Congress. IG reports to the Attorney General of the United States. IG also has some obligation to report to Congress as a protocol. But mainly,IG is under the jurisdiction of the Executive Branch. I hope you are educated with this now.

It's interesting how Democrats believe that any IG, AG or other investigative official who is "one of them" and does their dirty work for them is "fair and impartial," yet a Republican president who realizes that the individual, rather than fair and impartial is a hack for his opposition and fires him is somehow committing a crime.

Your cowardly ilk is obviously of the type whose concept of a fair fight is beating someone bloody while someone else holds him from behind.

Your entire lot is cowardly and beyond contemptible.

That position was left vacant by Obama for four long years. Hum, that was during Hillary at the State Dept. when she was doing a ton of dirty stuff and he and Hillary were communicating using f**e names. Must be a super-duper coincident? What's really weird is the Dems never mentioned Impeachment?

Yes IGs are for justice minded Congress people like the most dishonorable Adam Shiff. Where were the IGs when the House Democrats were trying to frame the President of the US using the Intelligence agencies? Certainly not "Inspecting".
