How many on here remember when a ½ million people gathered at Woodstock, NY in 1969? Do you also remember that while Woodstock was happening we were right in the middle of the 1968 to 1970 p******c that caused 1 to 4 million deaths world wide and 100,000 deaths in the US? How about the 1957 to 1960 p******c? Did most of you even pay much attention to the p******cs? Did it effect your families lives and lively-hoods? Do you remember you or your families jobs being taken? Do you remember schools being shut down? Do you remember being locked in your homes by the government? Do you remember people in long food lines? Do you remember people being arrested for breaking government mandates? Do you remember meat and paper shortages? Do you remember panic? I didn't think so.

So why is now different?

Because Donald Trump is President and the democrats will use anything possible - including ruining the American economy - to try and oust him.

You are citing events 50 years ago. Congress still had many WWII Vets who had a burning desire to see America moving forward. Then came the children who never wanted to do anything except get all they could from the government. For some years I have been telling my friends that anyone running for public office should have served time in the US Military. I don't get lots of agreement on that but I think that should be a prerequisite for public office. It proves you are willing to sacrifice for your country, even it is only the time spent in that service. It also gave one time to begin to think for ones self. Today we have too many congressmen who have no interest in advancing America but they are all for advancing their own wealth. Look how many start with an adequate savings account and leave very wealthy. Some few do start wealthy but I have met people in other government jobs who are there because they believe by staying politically active they are protecting their retirement benefits from government service. I truly believe the mindset of Americans from 50 years ago are not even close to the mindset of many of today’s people. Bumpy times in the past years did not mean we would get $1,200 each from the government just because it could be sent. The government needs to do as the rest of us do and that is to live within our means. Outgo must be equal or less than income.

It is true that the democrats will say and do anything and everything to oust Trump. To push their progressive agenda. The Democrats have definitely taken advantage of the situation and changed direction after they saw which way the wind was blowing. The democrats then pushed the reactions to an extreme of closing and spending to move the agenda forward. However, President Trump has been the head of the spear every step of the way. He was in the lead to shut down travel, to close borders, to shut businesses, to spend trillions, etc. I think, at first, Trump started down the right track but somehow the train got away from him. In the end, doesn't that make President Trump part of the problem?

Totally agree on the requirement for military service to hold office. I would also like to see mandatory draft of both males and females. Just like Israel. Learn what it is all about or keep your useless mouth shut.

I was at Woodstock, absolutely no impact on my life except for those three days. Now, MSM, WHO, CDC, F***i, Birx, Gates, Soros and ASSHOE rules. Oh and tyrant governors that the constitution says we must stand up to.
