The five things Planet of the Humans gets (mostly) right -- new video

This week's Power Hour is dev**ed to the new, widely-viewed "documentary," Planet of the Humans--backed by Michael Moore.

The movie is interesting because it combines a) some really important t***hs about "g***n e****y," often powerfully illustrated and b) a dreadful, deadly, anti-human overall perspective.

I've decided to divide my response into two parts.

This week I'm covering "The Five Things Planet of the Humans Gets (Mostly) Right."

The 5 are:

G***n e****y is a high-impact industrial process
G***n e****y has many undesirable environmental impacts
G***n e****y is hugely dependent on f****l f**ls
"100% renewable" is energy accounting fraud
Leading g***n e****y advocates are a terrifying combination of ignorant and dishonest
Watch the video here. Or listen to the podcast here.

Lots of people are watching Planet of the Humans. If anyone mentions it to you I hope you pass on my video.

Next week I'll be covering "The Five Things Planet of the Humans Gets Totally Wrong."

Michael Moore Presents: Planet of the Humans | Full Documentary | Directed by Jeff Gibbs

Michael Moore presents Planet of the Humans, a documentary that dares to say what no one else will this Earth Day — that we are losing the battle to stop c*****e c****e on planet earth because we are following leaders who have taken us down the wrong road — selling out the green movement to wealthy interests and corporate America. This film is the wake-up call to the reality we are afraid to face: that in the midst of a human-caused extinction event, the environmental movement’s answer is to push for techno-fixes and band-aids. It's too little, too late.

Interview with Jeff, Michael, and Ozzie (1hr 16min): https://youtu.be/HBGcEK8FD3w
Hill TV Response to critics with Jeff, Michael and Ozzie (17min): https://youtu.be/Bop8x24G_o0
FAQ, Discussion Guide, Media: https://planetofthehumans.com/

Removed from the debate is the only thing that MIGHT save us: getting a grip on our out-of-control human presence and consumption. Why is this not THE issue? Because that would be bad for profits, bad for business. Have we environmentalists fallen for illusions, “green” illusions, that are anything but green, because we’re scared that this is the end—and we’ve pinned all our hopes on biomass, wind turbines, and electric cars?

No amount of batteries are going to save us, warns director Jeff Gibbs (lifelong environmentalist and co-producer of “Fahrenheit 9/11” and “Bowling for Columbine"). This urgent, must-see movie, a full-frontal assault on our sacred cows, is guaranteed to generate anger, debate, and, hopefully, a willingness to see our survival in a new way—before it’s too late.

Featuring: Al Gore, Bill McKibben, Richard Branson, Robert F Kennedy Jr., Michael Bloomberg, Van Jones, Vinod Khosla, Koch Brothers, Vandana Shiva, General Motors, 350.org, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sierra Club, the Union of Concerned Scientists, Nature Conservancy, Elon Musk, Tesla.

Music by: Radiohead, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Blank & Jones, If These Trees Could Talk, Valentina Lisitsa, Culprit 1, Patrick O’hearn, The Torquays, Nigel Stanford, and many more.

I actually own 3 lithium iron batteries haven't had them installed yet but I purchased them so in a couple of months when my turn comes to get wired up I would not have any problems getting them delivered, the 3 off LEP 48 volt 4kwh batteries and a pre wired battery cabinet cost $11,700.

So to get hooked up to the grid would cost $70,000 the entire new solar set up will cost $32,000 with no bills to pay for ever after that initial cost, my old solar panels were still just as good after 10 years, same with the batteries, they don't wear out.

So my old solar set up was 6 off 2 volt batteries that I managed to save by hosing as the fire got to them but the heat reversed polarity and wrecked the inverter with a new inverter they still work a bit, not at night.

This new set up with 16 x QCELLS Q.MAXX solar panels plus the 3 batteries a Fronius Primo 4.0 Selectronic certufied inverter and other stuff will let me do electric cooking and air-con. in one room.
