To abuse their children?

I think it depends on where in China you live, but in some cities, it seems like human life has no value. I actually saw where a little Chinese boy was trying to cross the street, and got run over by a car. The car backed up over the boy again, and then ran over him again leaving he scene. Than a truck came by and ran over the little boy again! Finally a young lady ran out to help the boy, but i couldn't see how the boy could survive all of that.
In another video, There was a couple walking down the street when a man plopped down on the sidewalk. He had committed suicide by jumping out of a high window. The couple who were walking just looked over at him and didn't even slow down. Now, I know that that's not the way it is every time.
I've thought to myself what could explain that kind of behavior. I think it's because there are so many people in China.
My dad used to tell me that in order for China to win a war with America, all they had to do was surrender. If they surrendered, then we would have to feed and take care of them and that would bankrupt the US.

That first one was a young girl... In Guangzhou... It was horrific...

Because there are no good Samaritan laws, people can be sued for helping others... It's happened a number of times...

Just last year a doctor on a train saved a woman's life... Then was sued by her family because of complications...

Seriously, most Chinese are very weary of helping others...

I've been criticized by friends for helping old people who slipped on the ice...

And there was an American woman should fell and injured her knee at the University... It took ten minutes for someone to help her... Students refused because they didn't want to get in trouble...

Huge problem....

The woman who eventually helped the little girl in Guangzhou was a street cleaner... Ah said the parents could sue her all they wanted, she had no money and life was more important anyways...

Abused girl's father detained
CHINADAILY

A father and his cohabiting girlfriend suspected of abusing the man's four-year-old daughter have been detained by local police, the public security bureau in Jiansanjiang Reclamation Area, Heilongjiang province, said on Wednesday.

A notice published by the bureau said the suspects — a man surnamed Yu, 28, and a woman surnamed Qu, 30 — beat Yu's daughter at home over the past several months.

Local police received an emergency call reporting the child's severe injuries after she was sent to Jiansanjiang People's Hospital on April 23.

An examination found that the girl's head had been seriously injured, and she had minor injuries to her nose and skin, soft tissue and teeth, all caused by external force.

Police summoned Yu and Qu. According to the two suspects, they took the girl away from her grandparents' home in Huachuan county in the province on Jan 10.

Since then, Qu abused the girl in various ways, police said, such as beating with her fists, pouring hot water on her body and knocking her head against the wall. Qu was particularly unhappy with the child's naughty behavior and the fact that she was unable take care of herself, they said.

Early on April 23, Qu became angry when she found excrement in the child's diaper and knocked the girl's head against the door and wall repeatedly, the police said, causing the child's body to shake. Then Qu called Yu, who was working a night shift and they took the child to the hospital together.

According to the police, Yu admitted that he had also beaten the child with his hands, as well as with a USB cable and a broom, during the time they lived together.

The girl is in critial condition and has been t***sformed to a hospital in Harbin. The local prosecutor has launched an investigation.

Allow me to be cynical, Canuckus Deploracus.

Those things happen all over the world, regardless of culture, and we are obligated, when presented with these "stories", to express an obligatory outrage and sympathy for the victim(s).

Why do you present the Chinese occurrence of this apparently universal phenomenon at the time when the world grapples with the more important question: should China ban so called "wet markets", as our McKinsey&Co friends demand, or should China cease and desist to research various biological material for the purposes of the "bloodless victory"?

The meaning of your timing? Please identify the source of the suggestion.

You would be surprised how many people from other countries come here and you don't even know it and they don't stay long probably because of remarks and attitudes like yours. Your showing in your post your lack of tolerance the left is big on but rarely follows is very telling

bggamers,

it would help if you are more articulate. A surprise is not a deciding moment in anyone's decision to do anything.

The choice the people make is their own and intensely personal, far away from your myopic purview. Think about it, and if you do, you might be in agreement.

The a******n could be prevented by the woman keeping her legs closed....or at the least use one of the many ways of free contraception. Sadly hundreds of thousands of women do neither.

or it could have been prevented if the rapist had had the coutesy to undergo a vasectomy instead of wishing to produce more daughter/sisters to play with in his old age...

Sad sorry tales are plentiful and there is blame enough all around for past mistakes.

No one has perfected a retroactive time machine to help smooth out the lumps from past mistakes. I assume that would present newer, more diabolically tangled messes, however...

"Sympathy for the victims"? Child abuse is a horrendous crime. Only the lowest of the low of humanity abuses innocence. WTH are you talking about?
