I would agree with you,but people are getting used to $2400/month and may say bye to dignity !! Democrats are hoping to keep people on unemployment as long as possible so they will become dependent on Government! This is what America will look like if Democrats get to be in charge of US!

600 on top of the unemployment. ..puts those folks usually making 3- 400 bucks a week at about a thousand as it stands...dignity has a price, the Democrats found a price to snap their lemmings in lockstep.

Who signed the bill into law?Who could blame these people for not going back to work they been working for chicken feed all this great economy. So great their sitting in food lines for hours for food why? They can't pay their bills after just being out of work a few weeks.Yes it's the people's fault for not saving for emergencies, But I think if nothing elese people are learning during this down time is how bad their getting screwed ,in this great economy, Hopefully they will remember and demand a bigger piece of the pie when this is over.Another thing I would love to see since trump has ordered the meat packing plants to stay open,is I would love to see trump go in one of the plants and work for 3o minutes, because he has no clue how these people work, and the poor conditions they work in,.

You have only hit the tip of the iceberg. In NY, the state gives you have of what your gross pay was when you were working, up to $505 per week. If you were making $2000 a week, you would get $1100 per week and would most likely go back to work as soon as possible. If you were only earning $500 a week you would get
$250 per week from the state and another $600 from the feds or $850 per week to stay home. Only a crazy man would take a $350 a week pay cut to go back to work.

I think most people will go back to work. The $600.00 a month is short term but work carries long term. There will be some i***ts who won't think about that but I believe most will understand. I also believe that most employers will appreciate those employees more behind them struggling through this BS and in the long run making it baneful to them.

My wife and I are making the rounds of the restaurants that we did before this crap and making sure to leave healthy tips for the folks who work there. In this we are mostly on first name basis but we know they are being hard hit. Mike

That is usually the case, however, during this epidemic the rules that prevent collecting unemployment if you quit your job or refuse to return when your boss calls you back have been waived. The only requirement to continue collecting is the expression of a fear of contacting the v***s by returning to work. Until the original rules are reenacted, there is a big incentive for low wage workers to remain home as long as they can.
