The numbers are high due to some stupid decisions by politicians. In New York, Governor Cuomo ordered Nursing Homes to accept C***d ** patients and care for them. That turned out to be a terrible decision which resulted in an unnecessary increase in deaths in that state. In Florida, Governor DiSantos targeted those high at risk with a medical condition to be protected. The deaths in his state are far less.

As of April 30th, New York City has 12967 deaths which represents about 20%of the deaths across the country. Most of those deaths occurred in Nursing Homes. Perhaps Gov Cuomo’s decision to put CV infected patients in these homes in spite of opposition by staffers is the reason the deaths are so high in New York City and the state of New York.
Must not just look at numbers, but what caused the numbers. In New York, it was government policy!

I don’t rely on faith to save my physical life but do expect it will save my spiritual life!
As for politics, the politicians decisions can and will affect my physical life and financial well being as well as that of many others who are subject to their bad decisions!

Also worth mentioning. Governor Cuomo would not allow chloroquine to be used initially. When he finally allowed it to be administered to C***d ** patients, he imposed restrictions directing it could only be administered to those admitted to hospitals. Those who went to see their doctors and had c****av***s symptoms were quarantined not treated. Letting doctors decide on their patients outside a clinical setting may have also saved many lives. When I get sick and my treatment is restricted by a government official, I will seek treatment in a neighboring state.
