It's being developed by Mark Pimentel, M.D. at Cedar Sinai. Apparently, UV rays are bad for humans however, the way I understand it is the bad UV rays are removed leaving the good UV rays. A tube is inserted unto the trachea and the good UV rays are released into the patient's lungs. The good UV rays end up k*****g the v***s. This has BEEN CENSORED off YouTube but you may be able to see it at VIMEO enter AYTU Healight. don't have any idea how long they may have it available at VIMEO.

I have heard of it but it is a little different than you described. UV rays travel in a straight line, you can't really just "release" them and have them fly all through in the lungs around twisting and turning passageways all by themselves. As a result they can only k**l v***ses that they shine on, which means it would be almost impossible to reach into the alveoli and probably not even into most bronchiole. Even if you could get to the alveoli with the light there are hundreds of millions of alveoli in a lung and a minute or two would have to be spent in each one. Even trying to treat each of the 50,000 bronchioles would take months. Doesn't sound like an effective treatment to me.

I went back and reviewed the video again. It says by "filtering out the dangerous UVC light-leaving UVA light, though, this becomes safe for human use. It has also been proven in the lab that at the right wattage and duration UVA light is still effective at k*****g a variety of v***ses and bacteria-including the c****av***s." I appreciate your question and hope this is of some help as I would not want to mislead anyone on such a serious issue. I'm assuming the wattage and duration would be a key factor which I unknowingly left out. I can only hope that with studies such as this we can get rid of the v***s once and for all. Because it's pure bulls**t. The light cannot reach individual cells in the alveoli, which is where the v***s lives.

I appreciate you telling me about the quote reply as I wasn't aware.

As far as 'thick skin' I was not 'hurt' by what this man or woman said or his or her language. As a Christian and a republican, I feel much has been lost in our country when it comes to decorum. I was brought up to say 'please and thank you' and still do to this day. Manners and being polite seems to be replaced with unnecessary behavior so in my own way, I let him know. So to let you know, I did know what I was doing and most certainly would do it again although I did like the 'friendly advice. Thank you.
