Debt is an interesting and confusing thing.

The grossly stupid Trump h**ers are touting reports that Trump might owe many millions to some banks in China. Well here's a run down of some debt related information and China.

The U.S. debt to China is $1.07 trillion as of December 2019. 1 That's 16% of the $6.7 trillion in Treasury bills, notes, and bonds held by foreign countries. The rest of the $23 trillion national debt is owned by either the American people or by the U.S. government itself.

With China's 2014 GDP being US$ 10,356.508 billion, this makes the government debt of China approximately US$ 69.9 trillion. The foreign debt of China, by June 2015, stood at around US$ 1.68 trillion, according to data from the country's State Administration of Foreign Exchange as quoted by the State Council.

It appears to me that China has committed a crime against the world by releasing C****-** upon us. The cost to us is estimated to be nearly 7 trillion. I t***slate that into them now owing us about 6 trillion, give or take.

I think the grossly stupid Trump h**ers need to pull their collective heads out and look at the bigger picture.

That's probably going to be a bit tough for them to handle. Just requires too much brain power.

As I see it, the Chinese owe twice that amount if you add the pain and suffering to individual people, and the damage that the Chinese government has caused (probably intentionally) to the American economy.

Too bad treasury bills don't come with some sort of clause that would negate them...

On the other hand, if they did, they wouldn't be very valuable...

Not to mention that the US has never managed to stop a v***s from becoming international...

To sleep, to dream...To dream, perchance to....

You forgot trump is chomping at the bit to get back to business with them .
And the world Knows Trumps word is worth nothing proven by him illegally tearing up treaties. So if you default on the money we owe China no-one would ever extend credit to us again, and that might be what he wants ,

A good point but in this case, China hid the presence of the v***s and actively halted it's spread within China while ALLOWING it to leave China via flights exiting China. All, KNOWING that the v***s was being taken to the rest of the world.

No... China halted its spread where they could (and took criticism for how they did it)..

Stopping international flights was not a viable option at tbe time... Remember, they took fire for violating their citizen's human rights in the early days.... So they go and cut off flights that allow international travellers a way home?? Unlikely....

Even knowing the danger the US hasn't responded as China did...

The US has never stopped a v***s.. Didn't even try with this one...

I get it... People are hurting... Canada too.... But ultimately the responsibility lies with each Nation...

As I've pointed out numerous times, if you're going to bring up damages, H1N1 might bleed the US dry....

Disagree totally. They knew the international flights were carrying the v***s and failed to notify the destination countries. That would have allowed for destination countries to deal with the incoming carriers as they saw fit, but they weren't given that information. And, if China knew to halt in going and out going traffic to and from Hunan, then they surely knew the international flights leaving China were carrying the v***s.

They knowingly and willfully did not tell other countries about it.

Installed testing in all the airports.. Temperatures and masks and such...

Japan, Korea, Taiwan, all started up monitoring programs and the like (because a major city was locked down...That worried them)...

Municipal authorities shut down travel between cities... Provincial authorities did the same later...

Literally every country in the world knew about it.... Unless they were wilfully blind...

Canuckus Deploracus,

FYI, H1N1 started in Mexico, not in the USA. And, there are fellow Canadians in the Chinese prisons for various trump-up charges of espionage, one Canadian condemned to die by a lethal injection - framed for a drug offense..

Does the "Expat Focus" tell you anything about that?

Have you researched, as you promised, what anti-v***l drugs are used in China to 'cure' W***n v***s infection? Your findings please...
