Neighbors see Help Signs in Window

I think there should be a symbol like a orange triangle that people could out in their window or on their door if they need help.

Even $5 worth of groceries.

Poverty and age Gap means people who don't go online or don't know how aid programs work.

Are people knocking on doors? We live in a culture where people have too much p***e or not enough strength or gas money to go to food bank and wait in line with 2,000 other people.

No reason for children to get stressed out because caregiver can't or won't get help.

Can't we make some kind of national symbol for "help needed" that transcends language and cultural limitations?

I live in Los Angeles and wish sherriffs could knock on some doors and check on homes with kids, elders. People living on cat food..

A program is needed

Does anyone tweet? I don't but more people on twitter that has clout might see it. I agree. No one has knocked on my door to check on me and I'm a elderly lady living alone. II have a dog. If neighbors didnt see me take the dog out they probably would check. But for the ones without a dog? They need a knock

It's called "area agency on aging" in my state. My wife is a case manager for one of those, and they check on the elderly and disabled regularly, and having to harass the hell out of her clients kin folk, to get them to get off their ass and provide for Granny.

For every example of caring and selflessness, there are 10 examples of indifference and selfishness.

I live in Los Angeles. Lots of hi risk, the kids eat at school type Homes with little income in the best of times.

A system where children can speak up ( or just put the sign in the window or on the door) and advocate for themselves . Kids without individual cellphones, online accounts, or computers of their own.

Putting a symbol in the window or even drawing it where a teacher or care worker can see it might change the game.

Like an ampersand but @ but a triangle.

Maybe community's need to start doing something like that. May be a good idea

Right I have a small dog that thinks he’s a big dog, but a lot of elderly don’t have and don’t have family nearby. I don’t tweet, but someone on here must, so maybe!

You could suggest it to teachers at your schools and at senior citizen centers or draw some up and copy them and hand them out to people make it a community project

would depend on what type you have to I have one and they don't call and check on me. Though I was listening to something on my computer and heard this little voice kept saying my name I thought I'd hit my phone and dialed someone but the voice continued finally turned the volume on the computer down and still, this little voice HELLO ARE YOU THERE ARE YOU OK answer me, please. Hell, I thought I was going nuts and then I leaned forward and felt that monitor and grabbed it said are you there and they answered back. You have no idea how relieved that I wasnt crazy
