Thank God for anonymity. I wouldn't dare post this under my real name. (And, by the way, to avoid misinterpretation one should read the entire post.)
First of all, death is tragedy -- not totally all deaths, but generally. No matter who dies, however they die, it's a tragedy for them and more especially for those who love them. (There are a few exceptions for some of the people who are suffering with no hope of recovery.)
So in real life one has to be careful about commenting on such things. We don't want to add insult to injury, nor to hurt those who are already hurting. (I mean, we don't want to ~unnecessarily~ hurt nor insult.)
On the other hand, some things need to be said, for the greater good going forward.
I should also note (before getting to the main point) that I don't have any expertise for this topic. For example I don't have any medical training. And, I'm not even particularly good at writing hypotheses.
So anyway, here's my Hypothesis #1 for your consideration:
Hypothesis #1: that the novel c****av***s C****-** was genetically engineered to k**l Republicans.
Hypothesis #1 and Hypothesis #2 (below) are the main thoughts of this post.
If we were to take such ideas seriously, then we should probably also consider these other hypotheses as well:
Hypothesis #2 (which led to Hypothesis #1): that the novel c****av***s C****-** k**ls more Republicans than Democrats.
(I think #2 will turn out to be true, in the end. See the link two paragraphs below, for more on this idea.)
For #2, we would like to know how many Republicans, and how many Democrats, have died from this v***s, thus far. (If it's a lot more Republicans, one might take that as a preliminary indication that #1 might be true.)

Hypothesis #3 (separate from #1 & #2, and maybe contradicting them): that the novel c****av***s C****-** k**ls more compassionate people than uncaring people. (For example, it seems that nurses are at higher risk from the v***s than other people are, and many nurses went into their profession because they like caring for others.)
Hypothesis #4: that the novel c****av***s C****-** k**ls more of the essential workers than it does the non-essential workers. (This fits with grocery workers being at higher risk from the v***s than other people are.)
(In case you were wondering, some of this post is satire; but it can still be read at face value, and then the reader might suppose that the person who wrote it was an ignoramus; and even worse: insensitive. There are lots of reasons I want to be anonymous here.)
Again: I have no expertise on these topics.
