The New York Times has the receipts on Trump’s inept response to c****av***s:

The shortcomings of Mr. Trump’s performance have played out with remarkable t***sparency as part of his daily effort to dominate television screens and the national conversation.

But dozens of interviews with current and former officials and a review of emails and other records revealed many previously unreported details and a fuller picture of the roots and extent of his halting response as the deadly v***s spread:

The National Security Council office responsible for tracking p******cs received intelligence reports in early January predicting the spread of the v***s to the United States, and within weeks was raising options like keeping Americans home from work and shutting down cities the size of Chicago. Mr. Trump would avoid such steps until March.

Despite Mr. Trump’s denial weeks later, he was told at the time about a Jan. 29 memo produced by his trade adviser, Peter Navarro, laying out in striking detail the potential risks of a c****av***s p******c: as many as half a millions deaths and trillions of dollars in economic losses.

The health and human services secretary, Alex M. Azar II, directly warned Mr. Trump of the possibility of a p******c during a call on Jan. 30, the second warning he delivered to the president about the v***s in two weeks. The president, who was on Air Force One while traveling for appearances in the Midwest, responded that Mr. Azar was being alarmist.

Mr. Azar publicly announced in February that the government was establishing a “surveillance” system in five American cities to measure the spread of the v***s and enable experts to project the next hot spots. It was delayed for weeks. The slow start of that plan, on top of the well-documented failures to develop the nation’s testing capacity, left administration officials with almost no insight into how rapidly the v***s was spreading. “We were flying the plane with no instruments,” one official said.

By the third week in February, the administration’s top public health experts concluded they should recommend to Mr. Trump a new approach that would include warning the American people of the risks and urging steps like social distancing and staying home from work. But the White House focused instead on messaging and crucial additional weeks went by before their views were reluctantly accepted by the president — time when the v***s spread largely unimpeded.

When Mr. Trump finally agreed in mid-March to recommend social distancing across the country, effectively bringing much of the economy to a halt, he seemed shellshocked and deflated to some of his closest associates. One described him as “subdued” and “baffled” by how the crisis had played out. An economy that he had wagered his re-e******n on was suddenly in shambles.

This story is nuts. You really should read it. If you don’t believe me, it has six bylines by some of its most famous reporters on it. Six.

China has a lot of answering to do regarding this C****av***s p******c. They held information along with WHO , about the toxicity and wide spread t***smission of the v***s from human to human. China hid it, denied it, and later on silenced the doctors who wanted to warn the world about the serious dangers this v***s could affect the world. And it came to reality, now the world is in darkness, with millions of people dead, and the total destruction of the world's economy.

The radical dems under Pelosi defend the Chinese and WHO, blocks and attack the president who works 24/7 to helping solve this worldwide problem.

The world community lead by the US Team must act unilaterally
to requiring China and WHO hold accountable. I am sure they are cleaning up the evidences right now. But the doctors who knew of the real problems of the v***s disappeared, or are they dead?

US owes China a $1trilion debt, and we could foreclose that amount once this legal case is on going. The Senate Office will launch a case on this. My only problem is Senate President McConnell is not assertive confronting problems thus weak on arriving at a solution. That is weak leadership. But someone at the Senate must lead, hold on China's obligations.

I agree on forfeiting wh**ever is owed to China..as a good start anyway R3. But, I'm not holding my breath that either group of pols are going to enthusiastically undertake..muchless go on the record accusing anybody..except Trump..of intentionally misrepresenting the seriousness of this c****av***s. Have you heard McConnell.. or any of our other elected conservative representatives for that matter.. vigorously and righteously defending our Pres lately-or at any time??? I haven't..and [I] strongly suspect this is a 'swamp loyalty' thing. All of our currently elected reps are clearly more than willing to just sit back, and let the BSC dims lock us all down..and during this process..tank the economy, too (which they're still blatantly trying to do).
We are seeing pure TDS here..and it is ugly.

Think Cloward & Pivins (on a massive scale) and the chaos it causes......

Never mind the ragtag fringe c****e wannabe’s in this country. In demographic terms they are a minuscule minority, a fleabite on the arse of American political culture. To familiarize yourself with the real collaborators in the Great Gutting of American manufacturing just follow the money to the doors of this country’s biggest corporations. The t***h is most Americans could afford to pay a little more for household goods, personal apparel, and electronics, but we choose not to. Instead we have abandoned fair trade practices in order to indulge in cheap shoddy merchandise hawked by unscrupulous megastores with a
single mission of profit enhancement at any cost.

If you are brave enough to confront the problem start by looking in the mirror. In a democracy we choose our leaders. Do they have the courage to lead us in the right direction, or are they just there as a calculated business career move.

Your points are well taken. One of the problems I see is Senate Pres. McConnell's style of leadership. He is not assertive enough to push rights that must be defended vigorously. In addition, his leadership is weak as far as I observe him.

An effective leader is someone with a clear vision what needs to be done. His managing style of not being able to persuade effectively his party, members of (GOP senators) to achieving a purpose, or objectives needed to succeed.
The leadership of Newt Gingrich was better and effective.

Right now senator Hawley from Missouri ,has proposed a plan to push the senate to go after China, and WHO. The world community must be with them to form a very strong body for this purpose.

I hope Senate president McConnell must lead all senators to unite for this purpose. I think this is easy to prove, with so much evidences so glaring and could not be hidden by China though they have been doing so.

Now I suppose China has been cleaning up every track of evidence so as to hide and deny its failures and willful attempts to misleading the world concerning the dangers of the v***s.
The deaths of the world population, and the economic tragedy, is equally in the brink of its disaster.

You've got to be kidding. The Indians are happy now that they were liberated from the antiquated lifestyle they have in wigwams. Now, they are entrepreneurs, businessmen, leaders, and living a lifestyle of comfort and advance economy. They were shared a vision of modern science and education. They live in their land in peace and prosperity for their race and family.

And for the b****s, I think they were lucky to be brought here in America. Now, all of them are in equal footings with everybody, those who follow and want to take advantage of the privileges given to them. They had the all the advantage of the affirmative action which started in 1863-1877. However, it was enhanced further in 1960 concerning the hiring process, education, and all kinds of benefits afforded to them more than the other races.

That is why currently, we have many richest multi-billionaires in the black community.

That is why until at present, millions people from Africa find all means to come to America because this is the land of the free where people are given the freedom to succeed, and be treated equally and fairly.

The old concept of s***ery was history, just in theory, and those in the past don't exist anymore. All of them currently enjoy the same freedom and privileges offered to all.

President Trump has done the best jobs in alleviating the flight of the black community.
They were given the lowest unemployment since history.
The president appointed black leaders in his cabinet like the DHHS, and the Dept. of Health.
The president has given all incentives to the black community providing them training and rehabilitation for gainful employment.
The president released the low level offenders from jail majority of the are b****s, now given rehabilitation and job training to return to their normal lives. Most of them are now gainfully employed. After this C****av***s is over, they will return back to work.

President Trump is the only president who gave them these opportunities which prior presidents have neglected. Only president Obama gave them Food Stamps. That did not improve their lives.

Except China is a c*******t state, and the freedom perhaps is restricted in contrast to the US that afford freedom for all. It is the basic principles of our Christian faith and our constitution. That life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
