The case against term limits

There’s no doubt the majority of Americans are yearning for Barack Obama’s leadership right now. It’s palpable. You can feel that around the country. He led us through the financial crisis, Ebola and several other crises. For eight years he stood at the podium and said, ‘I take responsibility.’ Now we have the antithesis of that.

Obama inherited an epic trauma of his own, the 2008-09 financial meltdown, which, supporters claim, would have developed into a Great Depression but for the actions of his administration. He also had to deal with an outbreak of swine flu, which k**led an estimated 12,469 Americans, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Ebola in west Africa in 2014-16 raised further alarm but only 11 people were treated for the v***s in the US. Obama’s White House Ebola “czar”, Ron Klain, is now a regular TV and podcast critic of Trump’s disorganized response to the c****av***s. On Wednesday, Klain tweeted a video of Obama in 2014 warning of the need to be ready for the next p******c.

Obama’s former national security adviser Susan Rice told the Washington Post that Trump’s failures “cost tens of thousands of American lives”.

The ex-president himself, however, declines to speak out directly against his successor. But he has tweeted more frequently than usual: 33 posts in the past month, many of which offer advice on stopping the v***s spread, pay tribute to healthcare and other essential workers or share inspiring stories.

What a shame Obama was term limited, he would have trounced Trump in 2016 and we would have a qualified educated leader in this time of crisis instead of an arrogant clueless buffoon. Term limits in this instance have cost more Americans their lives than the 9-11 attacks. It is time to do away with them and give American v**ers the right to choose who they want in public office rather than forcing qualified public servants out of office after an arbitrary timeline.

There’s no doubt the majority of Americans are yea... (show quote)

The only thing that I am yearning for Obama to do is go to jail for all the fraudulant things he has been involved in.

I realize English is a second language for you and do not mean this as criticism in the least, to master new languages is amazing. That said I get a kick out of it when auto correct makes funny mistakes or people inadvertently use similar sounding words with different meanings, yearning is strongly wanting something, yarning is telling a story.

Not a single indictment of anyone in his administration while Trump has more of his charged and convicted than most crime families. Trump h**es Obama and has Bill Barr doing his bidding. If Obama committed crimes in or out of office why has the Trump justice department failed to charge him?

Once again a Liberal says something totally off the wall, that he presents no proof of. He imagines that Barak the Obama would have done a better job with the C****a V***s than President Trump. He imagines that a majority of Americans yearn for Barak Obama to save them by coming back. We are in the Imagination Twilight Zone.

Are you fool enough to believe Barr will concoct evidence?

Only the left does that.

So you're saying that the Obama administration and his DOJ were much more sk**led at gaming the system and avoiding consequences of their actions. Make sense since he spent his entire life doing just that. President Trump's current DOJ actually follows the law. As far as charges.. give it time. In the end, the t***h will win out even if justice against the Obama administration never materializes.

No that is what you are saying, Obama’s administration acted with high ethical standards and despite the efforts of his enemies on the right to create scandal there was and is none. If there was Trumps justice department would have indicted and charged him. The idea that the FBI is collectively conspiring against your crooked Pumpkinfuhrer is at best laughable. Members of law enforcement especially federal law enforcement are mostly quite conservative, they also have earned a reputation for their integrity. Unlike those before him Donny five chins expects personal loyalty above ethics and adherence to the law so he cooked up the deep state crap in an effort to destroy the credibility of our nations trusted institutions and his fool cult members lap up his lies like hungry dogs at a bowl of gravy.
