Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But one undeniable fact remains, Nixon is the only President to resign the Presidency, and make no mistake about it he was forced to resign. And in hindsight Carter turned out to a much better President than was originally thought. He brought Israel and Egypt to the peace table. He brokered the deal to get our hostages out of Iran. He actually did a lot better than most people gave him credit for. "Tricky", on the other hand, had the "Plumbers" scandal, Watergate, the dirty tricks campaign the list goes on and on.

Your brain is warped. Nixon did not resign because he "loved" this country. He resigned because he was not only going to be impeached, but he would have also been convicted; and that would have made him the only President, in history, to not only have been impeached but convicted and forced out of office. His resignation had nothing to do with "love of country". If he loved his country so much he wouldn't have broken the law and put this country through the debacle of his resignation.

1) Nixon resigned because a) His party demanded it and b) The Media was on him like paint... Obama has neither of those.
2) Carter's Israeli-Egyptian deal was a work of beauty. But other than that he was a disaster. Double digit inflation. Double digit unemployment. Gas lines, etc...
3) Nixon did not have plumbers. He did cover for them and broke the faith and deserved to be shown the door.
4) The 2nd Article of Impeachment against Nixon was considering the idea of using the IRS against his foes. Not doing it but considering it... Obama has that beat hands down.
5) Add Obama's unconstitutional acts on top of his utter incompetence and you truly do have the worst President in history.
6) Ironic that not only is Obama the biggest failure as POTUS, but also the most arrogant.

I always thought it was odd that he didn't destroy the tapes, but I doubt it was due to any character or dignity on his part. I guess it's a good thing he didn't have Lois Lerner or John Koskinen working for him.
