I quoted that in a post of mine and have come to the conclusion that most people on this site are willing to give up their essential liberties for a little PERCEIVED safety. They have NO CLUE what this is all about.

Those who would go to church rather than avoid large gatherings deserve what the good lord brings them

Following a protocol designed to help identify and trace who has a v***s is not a loss of liberty...it's for the good of the community. It's a shame that we have a president and political party that got it stuck in ignorant people's heads this is no big thing.

It's not perceived safety when staying to yourself allows the time to figure out if you have the v***s, and everyone else that might that has come in contact with you.

It's not a perceived failure that Italy and Spain had compared to other countries that acted more quickly and decisively. and it is deeply ignorant to have other modes to go by and refuse to go by the successes rather than the failures.

How ignorant is it to perceive being told to take a course of actions that can save tens of thousands of lives so you can be free to be a living example of a Darwin type failure.

Hey woody, it's a FACT that you're going to die someday. You're just delaying the inevitable. And you're giving up your liberties in the process. What a maroon.

You go find yourself a big easter church congregation and you go for it there sparky.

I see that isolation and tracing contacts has worked for many countries, of course they haven't had a president that screwed up their testing as bad as this great president has.

The US is coming in somewhere around 43rd out of 44 countries in terms of response, it's a shame what this president is doing with such a great country.

I don't mind avoiding people who are too ignorant to know better than to go on like there is nothing to worry about.

It doesn't matter. It most probably will happen in your lifetime that this world will become one big "country." I'm sure you support that too. But it doesn't matter because it's going to happen whether you like it or not. It's happening right in front of your eyes and like I said you're so blind you can't see it.

It is simple. Ben Franklin was right.

Now we have to figure out how much liberty to give up and for how long of a time before we tell those damn politicians to back off before we blow them off.

I’m afraid that sentiment is prevalent in much of the country.

Dead on...

Does avoiding spreading plague count as temporary safety?

I mean... Is plague inevitable?
