Catholicism did not begin 2000 years ago.

Catholicism began with Constantine, who I do not judge.

================
Here is where Catholics started Mike, at Matthew 16. Catholic means universal.
Matthew 16:17-19
Peter's Confession of Christ
…17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Wh**ever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and wh**ever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

That is the faith we carry. When St Peter or other Apostles spread the Gospel, they went to Rome. After several years, Saint Constantine had a victory over the Pagan Ruler, that turned Rome to Catholic Christian, added the name Roman. But the real name of Christ Church is the Holy Catholic Church.

Here is the Nicene Creed that stated in 325 at St. Constantine.
https://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/catholic/where-did-the-nicene-creed-come-from.aspx
-------------
Rome became Christian when the Catholic Church was brought to Rome thru St.
Peter, the first Vicar of Christ. Matthew 16:17-19.
It was St. Constantine who turned the Roman Empire to Christianity. It was God who asked him to conquer, and Constantine won the battle.
Constantine won a great victory on October 28th, 312. The Catholic church was hidden and secretly functioning under Nero's rule.

Before that, Nero the Pagan Emperor King, was the one who crucified St. Peter upside down on a Cross. St. Paul was also beheaded by Nero the Pagan King of Rome.

When St Constantine defeated the pagan armies of Nero, the whole Roman Empire was turned to Christianity. The name Roman was not the official name of the Church. Catholic is the original and real name worldwide, not only in Rome. The Greeks, and unto all the whole Christian Orthodox Church worldwide all originated from the Catholic Church.

The seat of the Magisterium was in Vatican, St.Peter traveled there to spread the Gospel of Christ. Christ wanted a consistent Word of God, not different interpretations, just like what you have in your faith. People called it Roman, only because the St. Peter ended there to build the seat of the church. Where else where he could build it? Not in Jerusalem. There is no space there.

I don't want to argue with you, and call yours something else. As I've said, I respect what ever you claim of your faith. The process of conversion to that faith is also making the Catholic wrong so that many will come and join yours. I don't do that. I don't want to argue, this is Easter Sunday, I need to focus my faith in Christ today. The last few words of Christ last Thursday's Eucharist was "love one another, as I've loved you." May God bless you and yours this Easter and always.
I am defending my Catholic Church, the one true Church of Christ.

The Nicene Creed in 325
Catholic Online Prayers
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial
of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again
in accordance with the Scriptures;
he ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

I am getting tired now. I need to stop and pray.

If he disappears I will wonder about that.
He needs someone he knows stateside to keep us informed.

eagleye13,

don't worry about Han-uckus Deploracus, he is in firm clutches of Han Chinese people and he knows all the ropes there. Just check his effusions on "wechat", the red govt controlled blog, and you find no "God Bless"or "amen" in his stuff. It's like the Boxer R*******n over again. The Canadians would not allow anything like OPP in their country, that's why he is hiding here.

Papal infallibility, get with the program or talk in tongues and handle poisonous snakes. This is the most righteous Pope in the lifetime of anyone living.

The pope's infallibility extends only to Faith and Morals.
He can be wrong on everything else, and this one quite often is.
For one thine he needs to stay the hell out of our politics.

Fact of the matter is, the Pope is so misunderstood, and what he was trying to say was about the relationship of our faith and what is happening in the world today.

No, I don't believe that. However, I agree he is a liberal Pope, but still his faith in God is solid.

It was reported that president Trump, Soros, and Hillary placed him at the Vatican in 2013, replacing Pope Benedict. He is still the Vicar of Christ. Only I think he must limit his position in the political world.

And the reformation went to 49 denominations where they compete of having so many converts for money, and different interpretations of the Scriptures. Do you watch Joel Olsteen?
and also that multi-billionaire Edir Macedo from Brazil?

That is where it ended up to money and luxuries.
The Lord said, "Blessed are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

I think there are other good pastors. Who worship God in good faith.
That is why I love all Christians no matter what denominations they belong.
