Progressive Media Group Demanded Censorship of Trump's C****av***s Press Briefings.

The progressive media organization Free Press thinks President Donald Trump is spreading dangerous misinformation during his televised press briefings on the government's c****av***s response. So it petitioned federal regulators to make broadcasters either stop airing them or "put those lies in context with disclaimers noting that they may be untrue and are unverified."

It was an odd demand. If Free Press think the president is abusing his authority, the group probably shouldn't be asking his administration to police how people cover the president's pronouncements. Seems like the sort of request that could backfire.

Thankfully, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rejected the petition on Monday, sending a stern rebuke to anyone who thinks censorship is a valid response to problematic speech.

"The federal government will not—and never should—investigate broadcasters for their editorial judgments simply because a special interest group is angry at the views being expressed on the air as well as those expressing them," said FCC Chairman Ajit Pai in a statement. "In short, we will not censor the news."

It's to the left's advantage to let Trump ramble on as long as he wants. If this is war it's not helping Trump out very much and it's because everyone can watch Trump long-winded diatribes which are dissected before he is even finished. Both Bush Sr and Jr had ratings in the 90's and Trump's composite approval is 46.7%. The only reason he's underwater is that he blathers on daily and the entire nation can see what an incredible fool he is. No, don't suppress what he says. His continual misinformation during a national crisis will most certainly do him in...

I guess you don't understand If they want to know what he's doing, shut up and listen. Don't make an ass out of yourself and maybe get thrown of the room. That used to be Fredo's job.

The media is obsessed with lying about the presidents "lies." The president says something is a lot and they think it's less, they label it a lie. It's just more of the same; grossly stupid Trump h**ers out of control.
