What is about stay-at-home guidelines in America that have churches, the young, and a variety of others defying it?

The reasons, of course, are myriad, yet the nut is freedom. I think that it is believed the American spirit of Liberty will overcome this...even if it k**ls us. What is more important: hunkering down enclosed in isolation by fear or just civil duty, or to boldly confront this nemesis as a breach of our country's basic and solid core: freedom at any price! How is staying at home in the Revolution 1776 any different?

Thanks for keeping that short, BTW...it will clue us in as to how many actually read it.

Not just America... Most of the West... Canada, Europe, Australia...

I understand that many ME nations are having a problem with people attending mosques as well...

Human nature?

The young are just plain stupid, some theists believe their theology requires them to be stupid, and Conservatives are one and two!

You are a man possessed, dude, I swear, never seen anything even approaching your warped state of mind. I have no clue what has possessed you, but it ain't good by any standard.

Are you aware of the logical fallacy in such a scurrilous comment?

He doesn't know what a logical fallacy is. He thinks fallacy has something to do with sex, and scurrilous is indicative of a vitamin C shortage.

More on this.

I sit here with my music studio along one wall and my book shelf filled with books on science, history, literature, language, religion, and music along the other. Many of these books are university texts. I share what I can with the younger members of my family and I am pleased with their willingness to learn and how intelligent and insightful they are. And, I learn much from them. My nephew James is sharp as a razor - he is a Christian and a conservative, as are all members of my extended family.

I read a lot of threads and posts on this forum, and now that I am hunkered down in the bunker, I spend a bit more time going through them. One thing I do not do is jump into the middle of a thread that catches my eye without first reading through from the beginning to see what's been said.

In my readings of posts here, I see many conservative and Christian posts that reflect intelligence, wisdom, thoughtfulness, logic, reason and genuine heart. Then I read a comment such as the one you posted here. and the first thought that comes to mind is "how stupid".

Just thought I'd let you know, Peter, we conservatives are not stupid.

To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
Proverbs 1

And here you have the heart of liberals: I am smarter than everyone else: If you disagree with me you are stupid, r****t, xenophobic, etc.........

Really? I'm glad you think that. It means you'll continue to underestimate us.

A foolish enemy is the next best thing to an ally.

And spurious! His was also a spurious comment. I didn't even have to look that up.
