I doubt America will withdraw much business from China... Some... But you'll have trouble bringing production back... Especially with large corporations.. And China will still be a large market for those same goods...

Most of the world is still doing business with China and will continue to... If anything this has strengthened the BRI and APEC.. While America is withdrawing aid and telling American companies not to sell to other nations, China has sent aid to over 60 nations and has medical personnel in more than z dozen... This number grows daily...

America may try to request r********ns.. It's a very American response... But I doubt it will go anywhere... Remember, it's just a flu

And America's reaction is hardly China's fault...

Still... The world will be a different place a year from now...

If we tell EU to stop trading with China, they will. We can also insert direct influence on Hong Kong. Japan and Taiwan will fall in line; Vietnam, eastern Asia, very nearly all of them? We can choke China dry and that's a fact. Their little f**e islands will be sunk if need be. We can strangle their military which is highly over rated anyway.

You think the EU is going to survive this

Many of those nations are establishing stronger links to China now...

Hong kong Sorry... That is just funny...

Japan might go along... Taiwan will be very careful... I doubt they'll go along...

South East Asia? Where China is sending supplies... Doubtful... They are pretty interdependent on trade as well... Good thing Trump didn't withdraw from APEC... Oh wait...

It's a nice dream that vengeance will be exacted... But it won't... The world will want to heal and recover economically....

Missed that last part...

Don't take it the wrong way... But y'all haven't been able to defeat the Taliban... After 19 years... And Vietnam was a failure... Iraq took two goes and still isn't much of a victory...

Just saying... Playing fast and loose with the term overrated... Taking on a nuclear power with the largest standing army might not be the best decision at the moment

The world will want to heal and recover until it happens again??????????? Nope.

It's just a summit or two and we have control/cooperation. EU will rebuild their ties to the US, GB and yep, even Russia. Russia's gas war will soon be irrelevant. Every body is seeing that it is unwise to be dependent on China. Oh, there might be some who stand fast with the country who unleashed death on them, for now, to heal.

I'm sure China is rethinking their strategy with the West.

I have no doubt China is rethinking things...

But the line that China has unleashed death will not gain much traction outside of the US...

And as much as I still think he did the right thing, Trump's alienation of many of those allies will count against this line of thought as well...

China is a nuclear power with tens of hundreds of war heads aimed at them as we speak; virtually all less than ten minutes from target and that is just from beneath the surface of the deep. Soldiers are great but you just can't get them anywhere. We don't want to invade, we would just shut China down. They have bee flexing their new adolescent biceps for a while but they just don't have the stick big enough to make it "stick," for lack of a better word. And, it is they who are tempting fate here. Either way, economically or militarily, we will exact our r********ns one way or the other. Think on this, in the end, China might have k**led 100,000 or more Americans almost literally on purpose. Will that hold water? Will that dog hunt?

Literally on purpose?

Just yesterday you were explaining how the numbers weren't real and there was no need for the panic....

What happened?

You should ask Spain, Italy, France, et al about that! No traction? WE have been though life and death with them. We all remember.

I was explaining how the numbers were exaggerated, except for China who is hiding theirs. And no, there is no need for panic. What part of that did I not make clear but the deaths are mounting none the less, the countries are losing their economies for their fear. It's the added world wide panic that is the crux of the issue. Death by disease is one thing, but taking them down economically is the death of a country. They won't admit it but they are sill nations with nationality. The French are still the French, the Italians still the Italians, etc, etc and they still have their history and culture. It's the k*****g of their cultures which will drive them to fight.

And no one wants to be susceptible to this again.

I agree... But how is it China's fault that people are panicking?

Asia didn't panic... And the Chinese media certainly isn't contributing to the panic...

I find most of the hyperbole is coming from the MSM...

The military I can say from personal experience is far overrated.

China's numbers are not real, we know. But many in EU and America are although not really that much more than due to regular illnesses.

China is fanning the flames of panic and threats of control over medical supplies. They need to get with the apologies, offers of help and requests for mercy. They will not be allowed to save face and that is what they want.

They, like the American media, hope this will be the undoing of Trump. Fat chance. It might not have been their plan from the beginning but that is how they are playing it now.

Not a good idea. We are working through this an when it is over, well . . .

Nuclear, one is enough to destroy the world.
