Should there be a national 'shelter in place' order?

Today the governors of Alabama and Flordia both said they would no issue a 'shelter in place' order because Washington hasn't told them it's necessary. We are predicting between 100 and 240 thousand deaths--wouldn't it behoove the Whitehouse to try to keep that on the low side?

This comes to PPE's. Did you know that the White House has said squat about making the manufacturers of PPE's manufacture esclusivly for the US and not export during this period of national shortage? Nope, not a word so it is Capitalism and the highest bidder who gets what during this crisis in America.

Now I mention this only because our conservative friends see Donald Trump as nothing short of god like in his handeling of this crisis while the rest of us see "The Donald" as more in akin to Satan in how he is negelecting the people of this nation. Korea and the US both had their first case at the same time and the government of South Korea was proactive and took the v***s seriously from the start and now it in decline where as in the US we lead the world in infections and have projections of the most deaths by far world wide.

Could it be because Trump was calling the v***s as of mid March as nothing but a h**x created by the Democrats to remove him from office? Trumps biggest worry wasn't the v***s but how it would impact his chances at ree******n. Well, if we appoach anything near 240,000 deaths might I suggest the majority of those will be from "The Donald's" abysimal incompetence in handling one of the greatest crisis to ever hit our nation? Yes, the Spanish flu might have been worse in total deaths but we were blind what a v***s was in 1918 and Trump was fully aware of the threat faced by this nation yet he chose to fiddle while the nation burned.

Trump said he could k**l someone in Time Square and his minions would still v**e for him. Correct that to say, I can kiil 240,000 Americans and my minions will still support me! Conservatism has become a cult and thier loyality to "the Donald" is proof positive that, that is true...

The very first sentence in the post illustrates the lack of knowledge these governors have about the Constitution, our system of Federalism, and their duty to their state's citizens.

The last sentence is an intellectually lazy cheap shot and a non-sequitur with no t***h nor bearing on the issue at hand. This invalidates the reasoning of everything in between.

A non-sequitur is a argument logically doesn't follow the previous statement.

The complete statement is as follows: Trump said he could k**l someone in Time Square and his minions would still v**e for him. Correct that to say, I can k**l 240,000 Americans and my minions will still support me! Conservatism has become a cult and thier loyality to "the Donald" is proof positive that, that is true...

1) How does the logic of the second sentance not follow the logic of the first? 2) The Constitution isn't a death pact. During a war we don't look to each state to do their own thing but instead rely on Washington and the president for guidence, organization, mobilization, etc and without it winning a war would be impossible. Well, how is this "war" with the C****av***s any different?

Maybe I should ask, if 240,000 Americans die will it impact your loyality to Donald one single bit? I thought not. So how was what I said a logical fallacy?
