Where prophecy comes in is the point at which we became advanced enough to monitor and rule the entire world with computers...finance it too. Now they want a cashless society. Like hell!
The end of the age mentioned in the Bible could never have happened prior to this because a global ability to wage economic sanction on an individual has never existed until now.
"They were unable to buy or sell unless they received the mark..."
When those conditions became possible the prophecy became possible.
