Only those who test positive or have flu like symptoms should be required to wear yellow or red masks depending on their condition masks. All others can wear other colored masks.
By doing this, all uninflected people will know “who we need to avoid when we are out in public.”
Actually all Americans should be required to wear masks. People who have no symptoms should wear blue masks. People who have tested positive and cured should wear green masks. People who have flu symptoms should wear yellow masks. People who have been tested and are positive should wear red masks. Medical staff without symptoms should wear white masks. This color coding of masks will give Americans an indication who has or does not have c****av***s. Just thinking out loud!

According to our brilliant surgeon general yesterday, no one should wear masks except medical staff. Never heard such total insignificant suggestions.

This is what makes me ballistic. If masks were a bad idea, why was everybody in China wearing them during China's worst days of the v***s ? I think what is going on is that they are trying to keep people from stealing and hoarding the masks until the supply becomes more available.
They do not want the hospitals running out. So just say that. Stop lying to us. I know somebody working in a hospital. They were told not to wear the masks constantly, only in certain situations. They also have to watch that any masks laying around don't get stolen. They have a lot of abusive clowns coming in telling them what and what they will not tolerate. This to personnel doing the best they can under bad circumstances. Add in the people with drug and alcohol abuse issues, who are blissfully unaware of anything special going on, and need to make their bi-weekly ER visits.
