Governments all over the world are using the alleged threat of a C****-** p******c to shut down the world's economy. Daniel Lacalle, an authority on energy economics, writes: "The decision to shut down air travel and close all nonessential businesses is now a reality in major global economies. The United States has banned all European flights as Italy enters a complete lockdown, Spain declares a state of emergency, and France closes all nonessential public places and businesses."

Further, he points out, governments can't solve the problems they have created through massive spending programs and bigger deficits. These policies make things worse: "Governments will implement large demand-side policies that are the wrong answer to a shutdown of the economy. Most businesses will suffer from the collapse in sales and subsequent working capital build, and none of that will be solved with deficit spending. You cannot mitigate a supply shock with demand policies, which increase debt and overcapacity in the already indebted and bloated sectors and do not help the sectors that are suffering an abrupt collapse in activity." And government printing of money, i.e., outright inflationism, is even more dangerous.

Lacalle's remarks bring to mind the trenchant comments on Ludwig von Mises. He warns against attempts to shore up disastrous policies by printing more money. Mises says, "No emergency can justify a return to inflation. Inflation can provide neither the weapons a nation needs to defend its independence nor the capital goods required for any project. It does not cure unsatisfactory conditions. It merely helps the rulers whose policies brought about the catastrophe to exculpate themselves." He tells us where a policy of inflationism will end: "Inflation is the fiscal complement of statism and arbitrary government. It is a cog in the complex of policies and institutions which gradually lead toward totalitarianism."

Bill Sardi emphasizes the criminal folly of US government policy. The federal government, he says, is "willing to crash the economy, k**l businesses, particularly churches and restaurants that are unlikely to have the resources to re-open their establishments, and coerce people to stay indoors, a practice that will further lower vitamin D levels and result in widespread infection and death among retirees." States and cities have rushed to follow suit. Los Angeles and San Francisco, for example, are now under drastic "shelter-in-place" orders that require "non-essential businesses" to close and forbid dining in restaurants.

To understand more fully what is happening, we need the guidance of two great thinkers, Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard. They teach us a vital lesson. Civilization depends on the international division of labor. To destroy the division of labor would plunge us into chaos. Life as we know cannot survive under a system of economic autarky.

Now, governments all over the world want us to give this up. Abandoning the international division of labor will hit Africa, dependent on trade for bare survival, especially hard. To what end is the world's carefully wrought economic system being dismantled? Does the spread of C****-** require us to destroy the world's economy? Here we can learn from another outstanding thinker, Ron Paul, who is a medical doctor and can give an expert analysis of government medical propaganda. He says: "On Face the Nation, [Dr. Anthony] F***i did his best to further damage an already tanking economy by stating, 'Right now, personally, myself, I wouldn't go to a restaurant.' He has pushed for closing the entire country down for 14 days.

Over what? A v***s that has thus far k**led just over 5,000 worldwide and less than 100 in the United States? By contrast, tuberculosis, an old disease not much discussed these days, k**led nearly 1.6 million people in 2017. Where's the panic over this?

If anything, what people like F***i and the other fearmongers are demanding will likely make the disease worse. The martial law they dream about will leave people hunkered down inside their homes instead of going outdoors or to the beach where the sunshine and fresh air would help boost immunity. The panic produced by these fearmongers is likely helping spread the disease, as massive crowds rush into Walmart and Costco for that last roll of toilet paper." Ben Swann supports Ron Paul's skepticism with a careful analysis of World Health organization statistics in this important video:

Even if the COVOID-19 v***s turns out to be more severe than the skeptics give us reason to think it is, we can get through it. We cannot survive the end of the division of labor. It would be the finish of civilization as we know it.
Is this what the C****e Left wants?

The cure is going to be a lot worst then the v***s, a lot worst.

Please check carefully the priorities of Pelosi and the left. They are about using this v***s as a tool to totally destroy president Trump. They prefer swampy priorities irrelevant to the emergency needs of the American people.

I can totally understand the points you are making. The collapse of the economy may be worse than the cure. However, there are stage priority solutions on this unprecedented crisis.

Here are the policies of president Trump at present.
Financial solutions:
1. Provide emergency needs for the suffering victims, the front-line workers, and all those gasping for life. Human solution.
Providing emergency tools needed to protect the victims and the front line worker.
Minimize the spread thru mandate of isolation. The v***s is so potent and pervasively powerful spreading to the victims.
Provide temporary financial aids to the population who lost their jobs due to stoppage of the operation for the meantime.
Provide financial aid to business and corporations so that they could restore their operations and return back the laid off workers as soon as possible. This will allow them to manufacture essential items we needed desperately.

Now, those are essential and urgent needs for the sake of saving the people.
The president had issued policies to allow some business in less infected areas to go back by April 12th. This was met with so much and aggressive attacks by the left. The president is aware that when economy fails meeting the needs of the people, we will have equal of more devastating effects, on all of us. Hunger, and desperation of people may cause outbreak of violence, and thus we suffer more.

However, the left also criticized and attacked the president of allowing some to be back to work earlier on mid-April. I am aware that the president is trying to balance the needs of our country and people for survival. And I think he is right. Now, I've read that by compulsion return to work on some areas postponed on April 30th.

Currently, the priorities of our country focus on solving our own problems as a matter of survival. We must allow other countries to solving their own at the moment. It is only when the normal situation comes back, then we connect to the world economic activities. Currently, we must concentrate on our own.

And most of all we all must cooperate, unite, and provide common solutions and ideas how we could alleviate the situation. But the LEFT uses this v***s as a political tool to attacking the president, so he fails. I don't believe their ideas are right, but a total destruction to our country.

I look forward to better solution. But taking care of the sick victims is a priority. Then finding economic solutions follow immediately. I have my faith in God and that is also my priority asking for His mercy. May God bless America, and the president Trump.

His actions and remarks are all recorded for history and all of it can be used to prove his incompetence, and in coming month's will be displayed to the world.
And to think trump has done this all by himself.

Do you not see how twisted your sense of logic is? Florida is on a trajectory that is set in stone where there is no going back and changing it. Tens of thousands more people will die in Florida than California, not might, WILL. California changed their trajectory, the daily growth is far less than the daily growth Florida will be seeing.

"The Cure" deaths are rhetorical, California changed it's trajectory and peak to where it may flatten off in the middle of April. Florida will go on weeks longer in exponential daily growth and the numbers out there are staggering. Florida just closed half the state today, way too late and a halfway measure at best.

Let's have this conversation about Rhetorical cure deaths versus real c****av***s deaths one month from now when real americans will be having their Italian "oh my god we should have paid attention" moments

The administration is acknowledging 200,000 deaths, and that if you pay attention to the fine print, is if we do everything perfectly. Any state that has not gone full lockdown is not doing anything perfectly, they are on the 2.4 million deaths program...so averaged out we will have states that do profoundly better than the ones that don't.

Like it did in Italy when people finally realized that they should have taken it seriously?

Trump did not take a serious tone until he changed his tune in the middle of March on a Monday. Just the week before F***i was contradicting him and Trump didn't use him for the next two press briefings.

You need to read any of the day by day chronologies from January on that lays out what advisers and media were telling Trump and the country and what Trump was telling the country. They all match, there are no contradictions from one to another.

Loney tune, America is lucky to have a brilliant president Trump. He exceeds expectations on this unprecedented C***d19 crisis.

I would grade his performance to A++.
Thank you Mr. President. May God bless you and continue to helping control this v***s crisis.

Likewise, I think we are on a trial basis. The Supreme Lord is testing our faith. The Holy Book says so. That is why day and night we call on the Lord. Come to Him like little children. That is why I could not stop crying every time I pray. I can't stop it, begging to my Father for help.

Wow, when I think of Him, and His blessings, and presence, I cry, because I know that it is real.

When I think about the evil workers, and acts of gross deception... I just say your day is coming, or has arrived.

We are being tested everyday, and the Supreme Lord's is watching everything, and over us, or those who genuinely believe.

As the saying goes many are called, but, few are chosen, and the C****av***s will separate the weak and the strong.

Those with FAITH, and those who lack Faith, and don't believe, or trust in God.

Above the judges heads in the Court room, or the Masonic Judicial system, it says in God we trust.

That's talking about the Almighty dollar, or making reference money, not the supreme power or Lord.

1990s I was asked to give up my faith. NEVER, NEVER, they'll Fear FAITH, and that why it is written by my FAITH, I can do all things.
