The majority of Chinese-made c****av***s tests exported to two countries were found to be faulty.
A China company sold thousands of rapid test kits for c****av***s to Spain and the Czech Republic, but the majority of the test kits have been found to be inaccurate.
Up to 80 percent of the 150,000 portable, quick c****av***s test kits China delivered to the Czech Republic earlier this month were faulty, according to local Czech news site Expats.cz. The tests can produce a result in 10 or 15 minutes but are usually less accurate than other tests. Because of the high error rate, the country will continue to rely on conventional laboratory tests, of which they perform about 900 a day.
The country’s Health Ministry paid $546,000 for 100,000 of the test kits, while the Interior Ministry paid for the other 50,000.

Czech’s Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Jan Hamacek, said that he didn’t think it was a “scandalous revelation” that the tests were faulty, even downplaying that they didn’t work. He said that the test kits could still be used “when the disease has been around for some time,” or when “someone returns after quarantine after fourteen days.”
But it seems that it’s not just one batch of faulty tests. Another shipment of test kits was sent to Spain where the fatality rate is concerning.
Meanwhile, Spain, which has more than 56,000 infected people and more than 4,000 c****av***s deaths, the second-highest number of fatalities in the world after Italy, found that the rapid c****av***s test kits it purchased from Chinese company Bioeasy only correctly identified 30 percent of v***s cases, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.
The director Spain’s Center for Health Alerts and Emergencies, Fernando Simón, said Spain tested 9,000 of the test kits and will return them based on their high error rate.
China is now investigating the company that sold the test kits to Spain and the Czech Republic.
China also admitted that Bioeasy had not been licensed by the government to make the test kits.
A Chinese government regulatory group announced Friday that it is investigating Shenzhen Bioeasy Biotechnology, the company accused of selling faulty c****av***s kits at marked-up prices to countries like Spain and the Czech Republic in desperate need of them.
The news comes following complaints from Spain that about 70 percent of the kits it purchased were too inaccurate to be used to diagnose patients who were sick and stuck in emergency rooms.
Bioeasy blamed the incorrect results on a failure to collect samples and use the kits correctly, adding that company representatives had not properly communicated with buyers on how the kits worked.

It’s too little, too late, however. Time was wasted and money was spent on the faulty kits which gave incorrect results and allowed the v***s to spread. In Spain’s case, that has led to an increase in deaths.
Spain has spent $467 million in medical supplies from China including 950 ventilators and 5.5 million c****av***s test kits.
