Watching that entire event on TV left me with one thought - how screwed up this country is. In essence, two fools spent maybe 100 bucks and succeeded in k*****g 4, maiming hundreds, tying up a major city for a week and requiring over 1,000 law enforcement people to capture the second one - a wounded young i***t.
Then, one after one, the heads of the city, the town, all the involved policie departments, the US attorney and the mayors and governor all taking bows at the press conference - only then to be followed by the President taking more bows. Where else can such a failure on so many levels result in leaders taking so many bows. Never had so many taken so much credit for so little accomplishment

The only positive thing that came out of this was the stupendous courage and compassion of average citizens on the scene.
