More than 3 million Americans filed for unemployment!!! If we were to keep going this direction, are we gonna able to come back to where our country was before? We need to go back to work, otherwise we are done as United States of America!

It will alway come back,if we do what we are being told, the sooner everybody listens and iy runs it's course ,then things will be fine. This is just another speed bump in the road, just hope we learn from this do a little more planning for things like this coming in the future. And make we should investigate why and who was even working on something this dangerous in the first place. IT sure didn't come from cooking bad chicken in whaun,or what ever they call it.I figure they were cooking something up in that lab they shouldn't have been.

We just got a 2.2 trillion stimulus package--likely the first of many. So long as small businesses and the unemployed are supported the economy will suffer less than you think. You are a redheaded chicken running around with your head cut off--always in a panic and looking for the worst possible outcome. Chill out, it's not as bad as you think--and if it is you can thank the leadership of the conman you helped put in office...

Please note that America has survived depressions before....

There will probably be more whining this time...

In 2008 and 09 we saw the economy drop 10 million jobs and it took the entire decade for them to be replaced. The difference this time is that Republicans are trying to hold onto power so have to be generous in bailing out the economy--something what little conservative left in them is repulsed by. No doubt they will keep borrowing money until their bitter end at the hands of the v**ers...

I can't think of a time in history when throwing money at a problem solved the problem....

Would it not make more sense to cancel all debt and individual taxes for the duration of the crisis? Require large companies to pay their employees or go bust... Issue no interest loans to small businesses? And provide a safety network for those most harmed?

Hope you are ok during this time... Stay strong...

And how is that not throwing money at a problem? Anytime you have politicians who want to be reelected there will be money thrown around.

"Throwing" money was an allusion to wasteful spending and mismanagement of relief funds....

Measures should be taken.... But I'm seeing a lot of unnecessary extras....

The people who run them don't need money... They're millionaires and billionaires...

People who work for corporations will receive money from the government.. Not corporations...

How does giving corporations money help their employees?
