More Data Needed to Prove C****-** Harms Male Gonads
ChinaWire

A preliminary study by a W***n medical team found the first clinical evidence the novel c****av***s (C****-**) infection could harm male gonad functions by significantly increasing sex hormones.

However, the research team said the study is still ongoing, and more research data would be needed before a definitive conclusion could be reached.

The research team, led by Zhang Ming, with the Reproductive Medicine Center at the South Central Hospital of W***n University compared the sex-related hormones of 81 reproductive-aged men with C****-** with 100 age-matched healthy men, and found the serum luteinizing hormone (LH), a sex-related hormone, was higher among those infected with the disease.

The ratio of testosterone to LH and the ratio of follicle-stimulating hormone to LH had dramatically decreased in males with C****-**, which indicated the v***s attacked male gonadal function, according to a reprint report published on MedRxiv which has not been certified by peer review.

The study provided the first clinical evidence of the impact C****-** had on male sex hormones and gonadal function.

The South Central Hospital of W***n University said Thursday that further research and data are needed to support their findings.

Prior to the team's finding, a separate team with the Tongji Medical College in W***n suggested that men infected with the c****av***s who want to have children or maintain a healthy sex life should have their semen and hormone levels tested as their study found out that C****-** could cause testicular damage and male infertility.

In late February, two researchers at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) also pointed out that novel c****av***s mainly targets spermatogonial and mesenchymal in the testes.

The finding calls for further attention to the gonadal function evaluation among C****-** male patients, particularly those at a reproductive age.

It is still unclear whether the affected gonadal function will be restored when the patients recover.

I'm grinding my teeth trying to reply with some witty, maybe snarky comment... but I am truly at a loss.
Anyway, what team of doctors has the time to test men's gonads for potency at a time like this? Just sayin'...

What a horrible side effect. Men absolutely should not procreate before getting checked.

I'm not worried about making a baby, actually I'd like to be sterile or have a vasectomy. I can always look. Something I'll probably never understand, my wife gets dressed in the bathroom, okay her makeup is there. Why does she close the door. Something I haven't seen? Did she grow a third boob? That's the mystery I've been trying to figure out.

A double whammy, red states get hit harder than blue ones because they refused to respond as quickly, and even survivors may have curbed their ability to reproduce?

I'll have to ponder that...

I thought that I was coming down with the v***s last night. My throat was a little tight, scratchy and the stiffness was driving me crazy. Then I remembered I had taken a Viagra and it got stuck in my throat. The stiff neck lasted for 24 hours. Forget about 3rd base, I hit a home run.
