Actually, not all of the rest are obeying the rules. I still see groups of 5 or more standing in close proximity, construction sites still open, senior citizens walking around the streets and in grocery stores with no masks. Even the police here aren't adhering to the 6 foot suggestion. Some folks just don't get it...

It is the very same everywhere. The thing about New York City is that it's huge crowd is a hot bed for the spread of any disease!

Check the CDC websites. Most masks are the next best thing to worthless. The ones that work are harder to find. They are more for keeping you from spreading the v***s. Keep your distance and washing your hands frequently is more effective.

I have a mixed opinion about New Yorkers. I had worked for a company that dealt with them as they flooded into Pa a few decades ago. They were impatient jackasses, BUT they tipped really well compared with our local yokels who were pleasant, but cheaper than Ebeneezer Scrooge.
