Have we contained H1N1?

Yes, there is a v*****e which they make a little better each year but it still k**ls thousands every year even in the US where the v*****e is readily available.

Is it contained? I don't think so. But is there no panic because we are given the perception of having it contained because the vast majority of deaths due to H1N1 are not reported????

Check out the flu numbers that are reported.

That's what I've been doing. Just H1N1 k**ls thousands every year in the US alone and yet no panic or extreme measures like we are having now. Is it because we have a v*****e and thus a false sense of security? We certainly don't, in my opinion have it contained. Far from it!!

Or is it, without a doubt, a frenzy driven by the sensationalism driven media??

What you need to look at is the ratio of deaths to cases, if a thousand people get the flu 30 to 80 wont die, you don't see 30 year olds getting the flu and ending up on a respirator and dying. Tens of millions get the flu every year, and it generally can k**l those with complications associated with age and really poor health.

This is different, and complacency is going to do to people what it did in Italy. Give this three or four weeks and we will be seeing a difference between states that acted early and those who didn't. The difference between Kentucky and Tennessee is going to show what happens when both states had the same numbers when one acted aggressively and the other didn't, still hasn't...Kentucky is at 124 to Tennessee's 615. In 15 days Tennessee will be at 4000+ and Kentucky will be at a 1000. People aren't comprehending what doubling in four days or even less does to numbers, and how aggressive action slows the time it takes to double and slows the daily increase.

Italians are saying they didn't take it seriously, and they now wish they had. Two states are really jumping up in numbers, Louisiana had their Mardi Gras against good advice, and Florida said let's party at spring break, also against good advice, they will be showing escalations as a result.

So, a disease that k**ls over 10,000 people in the USA each year is contained and not something to fret over? You think that we are going to have millions dead from C***d19, not thousands?

In all, the CDC estimates so far this season there have been at least 34 million flu illnesses and 350,000 hospitalizations. There have been an estimated 20,000 deaths and 136 influenza-associated deaths in children have been reported so far this season. The deaths among children also mark the highest on record since the 2009 p******c. But we are panicked over this new one which hasn't even gotten started?

According to Joe Biden the name of this flu is N1H1. Maybe he’s dyslexic or has a little to much amyloid material in his brain.
