You guys keep insisting that he waited too long to act, which is total Dem-fabrication. He is doing a fantastic job and hopefully we will be out of this mess which is none of his doing, a fact which everyone knows but nevertheless, the Democrats are trying make hay with, just like they've been trying to do for 3 1/2 years.

Bernie - you only have part of the story....here's another part that explains why our medical people are having so many shortages:

Well, Jedi, it's just that Nancy, as usual, is trying to inject politics and, in this case, a few controversial things that she hasn't been able to sell, into a highly critical and sensitive issue that should be handled independently. This is not the time to get into a discussion of g****l w*****g, a******n or the price of gasoline. This needs to be done yesterday. How often have we been hearing from Democrats that Trump waited too long or delayed in taking action? Well, what do you think they are doing now if not delaying action on it.

Bernie: I can agree that this is not the time to play politics, however, it has become common practice on both sides to do just that whenever they believe they can. In regards to how long Trump delayed in taking action, here is probably something else you did not know:

There is no report on the web page you linked to that says president Trump shipped 35,000 of anything to China. And, your comment on it makes no sense.

But, what if he did? Do you really think that 35,000 surgical masks or wh**ever medical supplies you refer to is going to reduce the US supply of these items to a critical level?

FYI: State governments - governors - are responsible for ensuring their respective state medical and healthcare facilities and professionals are fully prepared for emergencies such as hurricanes and v***l epidemics. State governments certify hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities, state governments authorize, or otherwise approve, the expansion, upgrades, and preparedness of these facilities. State governments license physicians, nurses, and other medical and healthcare professionals working within the state. State governments regulate the entire medical/healthcare operations within their respective states.

Our Constitution prohibits the POTUS from interfering with or over-riding the decisions and actions of state governments.

Hi radiance, I did a reply to Bernie before I read you post.. to answer you I would be repeating most of what I wrote to him..

I will add once more. the 2+ trillion....

I do feel this is much more about the economy rather then the health issue.. I also think it is early, which is difficult i will admit. but to me it seems that get the health issue out of the way, the economy could recover with out extensive help. But if we try to get back to normal while the v***s is still among us, we will only start a repeat of the now running hot, v***s..

and once more.... supply side economies do not work well for the consumers..or workers..

As for your reply above. it is good but I do not agree with the general idea of trickle down..

Perfect answer, Blade. The Federal Government, State, and Local government has its defined responsibilities concerning the healthcare system . In every state, they have the (Dept. of Health and Human Services) DHHS, responsible for their public health system.

Role of State and Local Governments in Assuring Population Health.States and their local subdivisions retain the primary responsibility for health under the U.S. Constitution.
1 To fulfill this responsibility, state and local public health authorities engage in a variety of activities, including monitoring the burden of injury and disease in the population through surveillance systems; identifying individuals and groups that have conditions of public health importance with testing, reporting, and partner notification; providing a broad array of prevention services such as counseling and education; and helping assure access to high-quality health care services for poor and vulnerable populations. State and local governments also engage in a broad array of regulatory activities. They seek to ensure that businesses conduct themselves in ways that are safe and sanitary (through the institution of measures such as inspections, licenses, and nuisance abatements) and that individuals do not engage in unduly risky behavior or pose a danger to others (through the provision of services such as v******tions, directly observed therapy, and isolation), and they oversee the quality of health care provided in the public and private sectors.

Gov. Cuomo must not rant against the president but must cooperate concerning its state obligations to answering the needs to combating the C****av***s crisis.

Because this is a national health crisis, the president took steps for the NY state, a call to duty as a Commander-in-Chief, assisting NY to providing solutions on the C****av***s crisis. E.g. Providing the US Navy Ship Healthcare Facility.
