Tom, who do you think would be the recipient of this that would be the most effective in getting our economy back on track? The businesses are where the robust economy starts. The $1000 from the government (actually from the people) is very temporary and must go through the buying and production cycle to have and effect on jobs. A direct boost to the entities that create the jobs and put money into pockets on a long term basis would be my v**e. Do you know what brought our economy back in 2 or 3 years? It was encouraging the companies to move back to the U.S. and go back into production here employing people. I know the Keynesian theory says that the corporations would not put that money into production but salt it away somewhere else. That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard. If you were a CEO, wouldn't it benefit everyone to have the corporate wheels turning with production? The great economist, Nancy Pelosi, wants to guarantee that the corporations will use the money to hire people. Would someone care to explain why they would like to have money rather than put it into the final means of production, the workers. How do you think they got there in the first place.
