It is a political jingoistic statement more so than a r****t statement made and designed to mislead, along the lines of Spanish flu or Spanish Lady (1918 k**led over 50 million 40% of entire World Population infected ) didn't come from Spain probably came from Kansas but Spain was a big winner of WW1 as Spain remained neutral and could publish news about the flu without Divine judgment being injected, the Spanish called it the French flu.
Why was the strain so lethal ? Still don't know.
