That will not magically create more medical supplies. You seem to believe that there are stockpiles of unused medical supplies that the Federal Government is refusing to confiscate.

To a certain extent, the states are on their own. Each state has different needs, and it is up to the Governor's to let the feds know what assistance is needed.

No point in reporting unemployment rates during a temporary emergency where most will return to work after the emergency has subsided.

They can keep collecting their paychecks because the feds are going to provide small businesses with money to keep paying their employees. At least that's my understanding.
