Yes, this does take me back to safer, happier times. There are still a lot of good people out there, but the love and caring of people for other people seems to be gone.

I watched as masses of foreigners flooded into America diluting our culture.

Pleasant bit of conservative wishes..

Think it was truly like that? Yes we all did those things and they were great..

But that women with 5 kids and knocked up again, was she over joyed? maybe, maybe not..

what about nuke drills in school, were those fun?.. segregation? discrimination?

Careers for women?

As I get older, and I have , trust me. the long ago does seem so pleasant and easy.. but at the time it had its own problems and challenges..

I recall at age early 20s, some old guy of 40 something telling me that the country could not last long going the way it was going.. the bubble would burst..

so much like we hear every day in our time..

It is fun to recall those years as so very, very good. but we also need to look at all of that time..

Cheers! Have a nice day..

It was no wish, it was a fact! All you can do is make up BS and try smear a great time in history. That shows what a poor bringing up your parents did for you. I wager you are not an American, but a creep that has broken into my country, maybe from Iran.

You did not read it well.. But you did grab a good Meme... like it. nice..

Parents were all great nordic people from the beautiful land of Norway.. late in the 19th centurey..

I myself, being a Nordic prince of some renown, am the picture of American hope and dreams..

From a tar paper shake to this gorgeous ridge overlooking a lake...

And , damn, I did it on my own.. boot straps from the git go..

Heard any people talking this boot strap stuff??

Some times the boot straps comes with a few hundred grand attached..

Mine are self made.. as a Marine combat Vet, I come with all the creds for that dumb assed picture of the american dream..

But I am me and nothing else matters..

Have a nice day,, wonderful up here,,, clear blue sky, sun shine and melting ice already today big improvement for a walk in the woods this week..

Have fun, it all goes away in less time then we think we have..
