Who to bail out?

The airline industry is demanding a bailout. 50 billion in tax dollars to be exact. Keep in mind that half of Americans can’t afford to fly anywhere and the rest of us either pay through the nose for first class or are crammed into ever shrinking seats, gouged to take a bag or carry on onboard and charged for water or c*****rs. To give you an idea of how much this bailout will cost us it comes to $400 for each and every household in the nation. I don’t know about you but I would rather the money go to a waitress who is out of work so she can get food for her kid, or a laid off school bus driver to cover the rent. Also I think that any executives of corporations who request bailouts surrender their stock options and have their compensation capped at that of the highest paid union worker in the organization until the crisis is over and taxpayers are paid back for the bailout with interest.

Damn...we agree.

These airlines give insane bonuses and stock options every year, I say they turn the profits back at the company and steady their own ship............they are like our government...over bloated with waste.

the bailout if there is any should go to the likes of what you stated above....the food workers, school support staffs and maintenance workers.

In short.....F the airlines and their billions needing help.

Well said...

I usually fly China Southern (excellent food) or Air Canada (great service 90% of the time)...

Both provide free drinks... And free snacks...

Since my daughter has joined us the stewards have also allowed me to make use of their area in the back when she gets fussy... A two year old in a twelve hour trip is hard...

I totally recommend China Southern and Air Canada...

(for those who might have had experience with Air Canada...They have really changed in the past three years... I used to h**e them...But completely different now...A real delight...)

I find that agreeing with Kevyn is a sign that it's ok to open a second bottle

What kind of Canuck needs to sharpen his skates

The kind that opens a second bottle....then walks down the street in his skates to get a third bottle

As we know....a good Canuck is always wearing his skates, it's a religious thing I hear.
