Do Sick People Have A "Right" To Shop...And Handle Fruit?

My aunt is 82, she was at the store and saw a lady sniffling and wiping and blowing her nose while going through the apples. She says she is not going into Grass Valley to shop at the bigger stores anymore, she will stick to their smaller community store by their gated community.

Stores are going to have to respond to this for that reason, they will lose customers if they don't use their heads. Bigger stores are going to have to have a produce person or two that helps select fruits and vegetables, it's the way it is.

I am 100% positive I'd have asked that woman WTF she thought she was doing handling fruit and putting it back feeling like she was.

New growth industry...home shopping services, people who go shopping for people who don't feel good, the government can help with that rather than give drug companies ludicrously high prices for health services.

Obviously, but reducing the level the public handles it makes sense as well. Raley's has produce people who are helpful as far as picking good fruit anyway, it's no stretch to make it policy that someone will get it for you if you can't simply grab something and put it in your basket. If you don't like it go shop somewhere else where they don't care...meanwhile the stores that want to cater to people who care can advertise that they have adopted substantially comprehensive bio security for their customer's safety. They will increase their business substantially.

Businesses taking this seriously is going to change how people perceive it. How many people will go shop at the store that let's sick people handle the fruit rather than the one that adopts solid bio security for their customer's protection? And hey, if you think this is BS be my guest, someone needs to patronize the stores that don't care.

What if...what if she modifies her behavior because we can't tell that and modified behavior is a smart way to go right now?

What if she simply asks the produce guy to select some good apples for her rather than pawing through them?

What if people are going to get highly sensitized about people who look sick handling fruit?

What if people can't know but they rightly have an attitude about a person who looks sick being that inconsiderate? It's up to the person with the health issues to adopt a more considerate awareness on behalf of healthy people who want to stay that way.

Sick how? I know some pretty sick people on this list. But that is just a personal opinion based on all of the nonsense they post.

That would Also put people to work . And be more sanitary if people were hired to work in the produce section . Even they should wear disposable gloves.

They are recommending older people avoid going out and being around people this v***s is really taking its toll on seniors. when the food comes to have her put on gloves pull each item out and wipe it off with Clorox wipes that's what I'm doing. Clorox wipes or wash even your meat in peroxide and or dawn and rinse my sister has been doing this for years just to get off pesticides and wh**ever is on someone's hands. Get boxes of glove and wipe anything you get down. Keep good strong sanitizer in your pocket and tissues in case you have some jerk coughing and sneezing near you you can cover your nose and mouth AND RUN or do a fast slide and shuffle
