Bye bye Chris Mathews.

Shame on men for not standing up to these female bullies along with their hashtag me too movement.. An embarrassment to the Ladies of the world that still appreciate the kind gestures showed to the opposite sex period!

#metoo is a joke, when will people get it. Pound me too. Just a possibility about Chrissy, ask the DNC. The woman not taking the compliment is BS. However, he may be on their agenda for *something.* Expect him to be on CNN or MSNBC. Probably the latter if not regular tv.

I have to agree and disagree. I am not a fan of Mathews and him getting spanked on this is great. I also think that reading the account of what he did he was wrong because he demeaned the woman.
Where I partially agree with you is this. I constantly get addressed by women I hardly know, as " sweetie, honey, baby, darlin, " etc. These are waitresses, receptionists, and hotel personnel. It does not bother me on the face of it because I know this is just the way they talk to everyone. What bothers me is that as a man, if I called women I hardly knew " sweetie, honey, baby, darlin " I'd be in trouble.
Not that I would do it if I could because I did not grow up speaking that way. It is just that I want equal rights.
Am I wrong ?

As long as men and women are different, and they always will be, equal rights will be a matter of perspective because we don't look at the other in the same way. Viva la difference!

I think breaking down everything along g****r lines is futile. In my long experience Jackasses and Saints are pretty much evenly distributed in both g****rs. I do not want to defend every male or condemn every female.

Not a fan of Mathews either but am a fan of e******y and kindness.. For men they don’t know what is acceptable anymore and I’m sure near afraid to offer a compliment, open a door for a lady etc.. I think its gotten totally out of line and this PCBS helping to diminish our civility between the sexes anymore...
Have to admit I call those whom I consider my friend, sweets, darlen, baby etc as an endearing expression.. I won’t stop either but if you said hey, I don't like that, I would respect you and stop.. End of the situation..I wouldn’t then go running complaining about it..

Thats true yet men are hung out to dry simply on an unverified accusation..totally unfair and certainly throws our “innocent until proven guilty” right out the window which is what I strongly support.. start abrogating such rights and soon enough we have none..

I've experienced mixed reactions to door opening. I've had my hands completely full and some women will open the door for me. Others wouldn't lift a finger or would stand and wait for me to open the door. While some women open their own doors and were oblivious to anyone else who might have their hands full. Consideration toward others is a two-way street and not a g****r issue.

Completely agree.. I do the same, open it for anyone if there first and always smile and say Thank You when done for me.. common courtesy is just that...
I was present when a woman told the man kind enough to open the door for her, “ i think I know how to open it”.. Rude in her tone I piped up and said; Thank You, sir, please ignore the rude comment, she’s just insecure of her Femininity but I and many like me Appreciate the effort.!!

Have you read an article in WaPo, written by one Paul Waldman "Why We Shouldn't Miss Chris Matthews"?
It nicely illustrates the tenor of our times - it was written by a man who whipped up his dirty magnifying glass to identify Matthews' t***sgressions. Chris was guilty of inappropriate sexual behavior by complimenting women on (horrors) their appearance!!!
What looks, at the first sight, as a malicious schoolyard rubbish, is actually a sneaky power play for a right to destroy any individual for any reason our self-appointed "culture bearers" (kulturtraeger in German) deem "inappropriate".
As George Orwell once said " those who own the language own the masses".

No, these are people I don't know. Female cashiers, waitresses, etc. Again I am not ultra sensitive. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of reciprocal rights. I have worked with the public and I could not have gotten away with that, whereas women can. Either we all can or we all can't. I know, I know it is a very minor point, but not to me.
It is like the N-Word. I remember years ago watching late night comedy. They had Black Comedians performing in front of mostly Black Audiences. The N-Word was used constantly and the audiences were rolling in the aisle with laughter. And I thought, why can't I say those same words ?
Either we all can or we all can't.
