Well, I think mayor pete was and is getting a lot of assistance from obama, and it's possible he was promised the VP position--or at least a fair shot at it--if he dropped out of the race. And obama might put a lot of pressure on joe to offer him the job .... That's how that quid pro quo stuff works, you know ....

I thought he was having marital problems...when he's on the road campaigning he has to leave his husbands behind. he sure has guts, no resume to speak of......mediocre mayor and he wants a promotion and a raise

.. wasn't aware of the marital issues, but I totally agree with you that he is mediocre at best ... yet he acts so arrogant and smug ... and has such high expectations for having so little offer ... ...

My thoughts exactly.. Hell, Petey sounded like he was mimicking BO in every speech he gave, which, I, too, suspect came right out of BO mouth...

Yes, he does seem to try very hard to mimic bo ... biden commented on that a couple of times. My guess would be bo is hoping this will work out with joe and pete in office so that bo can then provide a lot of input and have a lot of control. I mean, with joe literally being a dummy and mediocre pete having no experience, bo would be able to run the entire administration .. behind the scenes of course.
And, who knows, if mediocre pete's marital problems escalate, could be a bonus ...

Biden as pres, Petey as VP. Biden gets declared incompetent and gets pushed out. Petey becomes pres and appoints BO as VP, who can't serve another term as pres but can control things from the VP position. Things to have nightmares about, huh!
