You are probably right there. The consumer always ends up holding the bag.

Under the old tariff arrangements, Mexico skimmed off the extra lolly between the producer and the consumer. Under the new arrangements, the extra lolly is more evenly split between the two governments. So although we may still be paying the extra in the purchase price, part of that extra has been snatched from Mexico’s share of the cake. So, yes, Mexico is paying for the wall in a round about way.

no we are paying for the wall so keep telling yourself that keep on believing all of Trumps lies next he is gonna tell that he is the second coming of GOD but really he is the ANTICHRIST

Actually the wall could be said to pay for itself by reducing the number of i******s and what they cost tax payers. When Trump said Mexico will pay for the wall that is what I believed he meant, but by not stating it clearly was a stupid mistake. It lets anti-Americans like you ignore the problem and whine about what Trump said.

I am not loyal to a fault. I trust no politicians. I v**e on economic, foreign, and regulatory policies only. I turn Trump off when he comes on. Don’t like his mannerisms at all but all the Democrats running are a disaster for the country.

I believe that Bloomberg would be ok as he is a former Republican himself, and Biden would be a better choice than Trump , and Medicare for all is already dead in the water, But something must be done with Healthcare, Trump has dismantled much of the ACA, instead of fixing it, or replacing it, and He blew his chance on the C****av***s, his biggest problem is that he goes off script he is his own worse enemy

Can’t stand the little Napoleon. He could run the country but is all about tyranny. Biden is a demented i***t that has been wrong on almost every policy decision he’s backed or made. Besides he has enabled his family of crooks using tax payer dollars.

Dow posted huge bounceback today. The market will recover and all those folks who sold on the way down will have liquidated holdings for no reason.

Trump can’t fix the horrible ACA as long as the i***t Democrats hold the House. Thought the ACA was so great it didn’t need fixing. Anyone who could do arithmetic knew Obama was lying his ass off about the ACA. What in the world could Trump have done about the c****a V***s?People can carry it for awhile with no symptoms.

Ross Perot on NAFTA got it right: "I hear that giant sucking sound."

Even after two decades of NAFTA, tens of thousands of factories and millions of US jobs went south of the border, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, Venezuela and Columbia went socialist, inviting the Iranian Hezbollah, HAMAS and Chinese in to surround us with diseased and drugged zombies.

What these guys south of the border need is land reform, something akin to Abe Lincoln's Homestead Act, the best welfare-to-work program after the Civil War any president has ever created in world history.
