This is asinine, no one is looking for “free stuff”. When I am shopping and see a poor woman using a bridge card to provide food for her children I meet it with mixed emotions. Part of me feels good that a small portion of my tax bill is being used to help poor people eat, I would far rather have my money spent on this than p**********l golf junkets, redundant weapon systems and corporate incentives. Another part of me feels bad when I realize that in the wealthiest nation in the history of the world I am forced to subsidize multibillion dollar corporations who fail to pay her a living wage.

I can play that game and project also...

Never mind that she made terrible choices by dropping out of high school in the 10th grade and married and had 5 kids and then divorced her husband who constantly c***ted on her becoming a crack head in the process. I'm not saying I'm not willing to help her but your bad choices have consequences.

Really? And what do you feel when you see an able bodied man or woman who could be working using their EBT card to buy frozen pizza's and steak, while smoking and talking on their cell phone?

Or the panhandler on the street who refuses to seek help because the organizations who can help refuse to let him use drugs/alcohol?

I agree with you regarding crony capitalism. EVERYONE wants free stuff! Especially corporations wanting any advantage they can get over their competitors. This is why they spend billions on lobbying efforts to get something for free or receive subsidies. And if something was offered to you I bet you wouldn't turn it down. Ever go into Costco and always refuse every free sample offered?

There is no such thing as a free lunch because to give something to someone for free means someone else had to work to provide it and consequently did not reap the rewards of their labor. How many students are supporting Sanders, or Warren, because they want free college! Especially those attending the expensive Ivy League schools. People value something about as much as it costs them. When something is free, people value it less than when they actually earn it.

He is a Liberal. Of COURSE he would pay for her groceries, just not with his own money.

I could be a good Democrat since I don't mind spending OPM (Other People's Money).

The majority of people receiving government assistance are white living in rural areas and employees at low paying jobs. They are often trapped in communities with no resources to move or moving would cost them their support system. A living wage law would allow them to support themselves and remove the cost for taxpayers. It is both uncharitable and untrue to claim that people are responsible for their own poverty the causes are numerous as are the solutions.

I wrote it myself, it is simply fact. I am not a journalist which should be obvious. I also do not think i posted this before if I did please provide a link to my past post, it will make me feel good that my memory of fact is so accurate.

I think I will ignore Kevyn, exactly as he does each time I ask him a question. He usually never answers them, so this is a first. He deserves as much consideration as he generally gives.
