No... Morality is a product of society... Higher morality is a product of God...

I do believe that each individual has the inherent ability to do good...

Let me ask this question another way...Do you agree or disagree that every person is born with a sin nature and is inherently at emnity with God?

We are of this world Parky... How could it be otherwise?

Although I don't view it as being "at enmity" so much as simply lacking the ability to fully comprehend and act on the true understanding of God...

The natural man is at enmity with God. Good deeds and outward appearances of good behavior or morality is self gratification - for the flesh - unless one is saved and lives God.

For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Romans 8:7

So before Christ there were no good deeds?

How can one be saved without Christ?

Is that not the argument?

Thats not the argument. Do you not trust Him to reveal Himself to
those who seek Him? You keep looking for end arounds. He knows who seeks with a sincere heart.

Before the crucifixion and resurrection?

Seriously? Is that your position?

Why do you play these games? I never even implied that.

That's what he's good at. He also uses what he thinks is subtlety to insult you thinking you don't understand but he's not as clever as he thinks he is.

Rose:
''The natural man is at enmity with God. Good deeds and outward appearances of good behavior or morality is self gratification - for the flesh - unless one is saved and lives God.''

This was your statement... To which I asked if there were any good deeds before the crucifixion an resurrection...

Example - Was Abraham a good man who performed good deeds? Or were his actions all 'self gratification'?

These are not games... These are queries so that I may better understand your viewpoint...

Very few people are as clever as they think they are... It's one of the reasons communication is so difficult...

Before Christ people were saved by faith. Abraham is the father of the faithful. All of the religious behavior and events such as the temple, animal sacrifice, blood covering were just types and shadows of the coming Christ. Yes, there was salvation and good works before Christ. God has always been in the redeeming business. He made the first covering for Adam and Eve. And has supplied the way back to a right relationship with Him since the fall.
