China has a trust problem. There was an article I believe I saw it in the WSJ. Nobody trusts anything China says so nobody knows how bad the v***s is. Xi has an even bigger problem. The government is used to lying so much that the people do not trust anything they are told. They obey out of fear, but if the fear of the C****a V***s becomes bigger than their fear of the government, the C*******ts are in trouble.
Plus the lying goes both ways. Those at the lower levels are used to lying to please their masters. Xi can't trust anything coming from those beneath him.
