I would think the rape charge is the most serious charge. That usually carries some serious prison time.

My bad. He was convicted of third degree rape which carries 5 - 25 years. And acquitted of the sexual assault charges and the first degree rape, which both carry, I believe, life sentences.
Still not a good place for him to be in. Especially at his age.
I read he's filing an appeal but he was still was taken directly into custody following the verdict, which is normal in criminal cases.

Yes,and he is still facing pretty much the same charges in California !!!So anyway you look at it,he is done!!!

They’ll file the appeal but the primary issue will be whether he’s allowed to remain free of custody pending the outcome of the appeal. Verry long shot. Most likely he’ll remain in custody.
