Today, Indian PM Narendra Modi is hosting President Trump for “Namaste Trump,” a titanic-sized rally that will showcase their chummy relationship. Trump said Modi told him 10 million people would show up along the route to the event venue.

For Modi, the rally flexes his status on the world stage and distracts from ongoing controversies (like a new citizenship law). For Trump, it’s part of a pitch to Indian-American v**ers, 80%+ of which v**ed for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
